Sumo
In the heart of Sumo wrestling, this hotel is close to the subway and our hotel room was quite large for Tokyo standards.

Nice stay in Ryogoku
Location, room, and pricing were wonderful. However, tub and sink drain was slow but did not deter our stay. Will book again in the future.

Very close to train station. The room is quite tight. Carpet is not as clean as other Japanese hotels we stayed during the trip.

Ryugoku is a hidden gem. Ryugoku View Hotel is literally next to the train station, a LOT of restaurants all around, so many Kombinis, all these and it is 2 stops from Akihabara. Also, taking the Chuo Line to Yoyogi and switching to Yamanote Line makes it so easy to get to Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku. Location is excellent!

We enjoyed the area this hotel was in and the convenience of places to eat and shop. The staff were very helpful and kind and didnt hesitate to answer any questions we had. However, my biggest issues were the cleanliness (or lack of) of the room and more particularly the bathroom. There was very strong smelling urine all over the front of the toilet and at the base of the toilet. There was also mold in the shower by the wall. Finally when I took the sheets off at the end of our stay there was what appeared to be urine stains on the matress pad. Other than the lack of cleanliness it was a very pleasant accommodation.

The hotel is a bit rundown. The sroom is a bit small for 4 people. We hardly have rooms for our luggages.
The area was closed to lots of restaurant and the train station. We only stayed one night so it wasn't enough to experience too much.

We loved our experience staying in this hotel. Incredible access to food, train station, sightseeing and attractions. Plus there was a festival right in front of the hotel and we got to dance in the streets with everyone, then watch the party and firworks from our window. SO FUN! As always in Japan, customer service was excellent. My only knock on cleanliness was the dust in the bathroom exhaust fan and some black around the shower head and tub edges.
