We were so delighted with the stay. From the moment we walked in to see about check in from the moment we checked out the front desk staff was amazing. They exceeded expectations. Anything we asked for they went above. The restaurant food was top-notch for breakfast, the location, the quietness, all staff we encountered were excellent. Loved the Laguna front villa! It is well kept and staff (majority) was polite. Recommend to anyone who wants to disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with nature! One observation, however, would be to place notices/sign to remind people NOT to use sunscreen before entering the Laguna :( as I saw many guest applying it to their kids before they went into the water!

Scorpion fell from the roof to the bed
I was very excited to stay at the hotel because of the great reviews. We were provided a cabin and sadly an Alacran fell from the roof onto our bed while we were resting. My husband jumped up before he was stung. The hotel attempted to address the issue by saying these are common creatures especially due to the rain. Upon our insistence they switched our room. Late at night we are moving our items from one room to the next. The second room was better but the whole ordeal was not pleasant. The rest of facilities were solid.

There is no better location on the lake, especially if you rent a waterfront cabana with stairs leading directly into the water! Magical location a few miles out of town for those of us who don’t like noisy bars and street traffic. Attentive, friendly staff. Awesome swimming and views. Functioning AC. Pleasant, reasonably priced restaurant right overlooking the water. Truly a gem of a hotel. The rooms are spacious, simple, yet very clean and architecturally soothing. Elegant simplicity sums it up!

The location on the lake is stunning, although manage your lake view from rooms as it’s very obstructed by trees (which are beautiful and osprey land on them). Getting to/from the hotel is only feasible by car, with a barking dog patrolling the outside road, if you do try and walk. The outdoor communal areas were not the most comfortable to and relax in
