The room was great! I had a balcony overlooking the sea. I sat in the living room half the night just looking out the window at the well lit beach, while pretending to do work on my laptop. Downstairs, the restaurant had a nice vibe. I had the grilled shrimp tacos. They were amazing! I should have gotten an order for the road! Everything was great, from someone from reception walking me to my room, to the easy on-site parking. I will definitely be back.

The check in process was easy. All staff was very helpful. The receptionist even assisted me in carrying luggage. The beach club was awesome. Great food and drinks. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and quick to help with anything we needed. I also liked the location very much! My disappointment was the Wi-Fi did not work. We were working remotely so this was very important. The Wi-Fi at hotel was out 95% of the time. They also lost power on our last day. Outside of that, the property and rooms were clean but felt very outdated and run down. I guess typical in a beach town but did make it feel as though we over paid for the accommodation. The bed was comfortable but pillows felt very hard and stiff. They also only gave top sheet with no comforter so was very chilly at night without a blanket.

The hotel is right on the beach. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful even with my limited Spanish. The beach is very relaxing and the water is clear and seaweed free. This is a very family friendly environment. I highly recommend renting a car and come to Mahahual for a few days if you’re in Tulum or Cancun. Also this hotel is close to Chacchoben and Bacalar if you want to go explore for the day.
