My stay at the Principado Hotel was excellent. I was there for business a week. The staff service was very kind and made you feel very welcomed . I appreciated the fresh fruit every morning and the options for the hot meal breakfast. I would most certainly stay if I need to go back to Durango.

Overall the stay was nice. Other than the volume on the tv which was too low and could barely hear it was decent. The complimentary breakfast was a plus and quite enjoyable. Very close to el centro and in a nice neighborhood.

The biggest disappointment was the time breakfast was served as we had medical procedure due at 7:45 and booked close to medical procedure and be able to have breakfast before we went. Breakfast didn't start until 7:30. and we had to be at procedure at 745 and no trying to accommodate with fruits or yogurts or something. Otherwise comfortable enough, but not what we expected.

The breakfast buffet was VERY delicious. People were very nice. Only complaints was that their parking lot is very small and if there wasn't any room you'd have to park in the street. Also, their elevator is very small and limited to only 3 people so we had to take turns to get on it.

The hotel is old and needs a renovation. The room is small and beds are uncomfortable, the bathroom smells bad. The good thing is the breakfast. They offer fruit, yoghurt and cereal, coffee and juice for drinking, and chilaquiles fried beans and 2 additional different options every day. Very tasty. Hotel is located very close to the city center (5 minutes walking) and there are many restaurant options close.

The location was excellent; walkable next to downtown! The breakfast was delicious and large room was clean with good shower pressure. The parking is secure and covered because it's in the basement of the hotel. The only drawbacks were the wifi was weak and the sink (or shower) in the bathroom was leaking

This is a very basic accommodation. The rooms are spare (no chair, no desk, couple of hangers), hard mattresses, very simple bathroom with old fixtures, and a fairly worn around the edges. But the rooms are clean and air conditioned, the staff is very courteous, the breakfast buffet is fine (excellent coffee) and is warmly served. The location can’t be beat, just a block away from all the action on Calle Constitución. Not for travelers looking for creature comforts, but for a very reasonable price it served our needs well.
