Lovely short break hostel
I had a good stay here, place was clean and staff were always so nice when we arrived/departed during the day. Just be prepared for noise - the doors are heavy so do slam and we had someone have a disagreement in our hallway which you could clearly hear, the hostel does provide ear plugs which helped for this occasion! I would stay again if I travelled to Manchester

The hostel was simple but great. The bed was comfortable, and the room with a private bathroom was good. The only issue was that, being located in a very central area, there was a lot of noise at night from the bars below. Overall, it was a very good experience.

I’ve stayed at PH before and it’s a great hostel with competitive prices compared to other nearby hotels. I wouldn’t recommend staying on a weekend - it was incredibly noisy until 3am outside. The room was also absolutely boiling even though we turned down the radiator.

Great vibe and lovely staff. Clean basic double room (no tv) Perfect for a Saturday night stay in Manchester...but if you don’t want to be in party central this might not be the place for you. Bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to people enjoying themselves outside all night. Would definitely stay here again

Great location. Private room was great (no frills but very cute decor) aside from needing to pay extra for a towel (towel costs £4 but is large and plush). I don't recommend anyone who is a light sleeper to stay here though. Weekends are loud with music from local bars, and even Monday and Tuesday nights there were drunk bar goers being loud in the street until about 2am. It's totally safe though, and other than that, a perfect location and very comfortable.

The hostel is very well equipped, the area is very close to downtown and the staff is nice and friendly. I personally don’t like there are no male dorms, I wouldn’t stay longer there because of this reason.
