A magical retreat
This place is magical. A gem hidden in the forest away from city life. And it feels lovingly crafted; every piece of decor and ambience and atmosphere and even the food selection in the mini convenience store - nothing feels random or like an afterthought. The walking trails are lovely, the outdoor seating is wonderful. The rooms and common spaces are meticulously clean and cozy. I wouldn't change a thing!

What a find!
The grounds around the property are beautiful, and I can see why it’s popular for weddings. My wife and I had a great walk with gorgeous views just out of the door of our room. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and we met a ton of interesting couples and families around the fire in the evening.

Wow! This place is incredible! The site and the views are beautiful--tall trees, views of the water, wildlife! And whoever was in charge of design and aesthetics has exquisite taste. Gorgeous but rustic! Sublime! Staff were courteous. The firepit is wonderful. And the lodge is ecofriendly, with a water fill bottle station. Thank you for such a memorable visit! We will return!

Very surprised
I went to an event in Hog Island Oyster in Marshall and wanted a place to stay that was close. The Lodge at Marconi hit the spot. When I arrived, I found their restaurant wasn’t open, no ride share service, no TV in the room, and as it was a warm day, the only relief in the room was opening the window. Well it turned out to be a wonderful afternoon and evening. I purchased a bottle of wine, some cheese, salami, and crackers and went to their comfortable courtyard. I enjoyed the beautiful sourroundings and peacefulness. I sat out for a few hours. When I finally went to the room, I was relaxed and satisfied. When I finally went to bed, I slept very well and woke up refreshed. Sometime peacefulness is very under rated.

The area is gorgeous and it is surronded by the beautiful Tomales Bayand Point Reyes. Our favorite was the only dog beach ( a half hour drive to Limantour Beach, a lovely uncrowded beach with a long beach walk). The only thing that spoiled the stay at a dog-friendly hotel was the night manager who kicked the dogs out when the guests were enjoying their pets and conversation. The rest of the staff were great and helpful.

Unique and cool historic property.
Very unique property with cool history. Glad this hotel group is taking over and putting capital and effort into restoring and upgrading the facilities and grounds. Great potential. Best was Adirondack chairs overlooking Tomales Bay sunset!

After having read a few mixed reviews, we decided to give the Lodge a try for a night. We're so glad we did. The setting was lovely, overlooking Tomales Bay, the amenities in the reception area included lovely sitting areas, conference room, convenience store with cheeses, snacks, wine, beer, and other items. The rooms were clean, recently renovated, funky cool, and lots of windows to enjoy the breezes and cool air. Beds were comfy and products were excellent. Wifi, coffee and water in our room--pretty much everything we needed for a lovely getaway from Sacramento heat for a night, and priced reasonably. The staff were welcoming, especially the concierge, Leah, who gave us some nice dining recommendations along our route. It's a lodge, not a five-star hotel, but between the views, fire pit, and everything else, it is definitely a place we'll return to.

Cranky Clerk Clearly Can't Cope
This is a Lodge. This is not a hotel. No TV or clock radio but we did not want them anyway. Beautiful wooded campus with hiking trails and bay views. This place is definitely geared toward the young people. Standing directly in front of the desk clerk, young people entered after us, helped first. Two parties that had already checked in (3:45PM) had errors with their rooms and returned to the desk, helped first. I understand that, they had been helped badly and things were in need of correcting BUT, then the clerk turns to us and says, "Check in is 4PM." Essentially, "We don't have to help you yet." even though they had checked in two parties before 3:40. I understand hectic situations and we were patient, but treat all the guests equally. You checked in guests before 4PM and then scolded us for wanting the same.

Over priced but nice grounds
Over priced for what you get. For $450/night I'd expect better amenities (AC or even a fan in the room), food onsite, etc. Staff was adequate, not very friendly for this price point. We couldn't sleep because the room was so warm and the walls were so thin, we heard the entire conversation of the people next to us. Our sheet had a black mark on it when we pulled the covers back. Grounds were nice for taking a stroll. Overall, disappointed in our experience and likely won't return.

Nature retreat
Magical retreat from the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cozy and the beds are very comfortable. No TVs which was ok as they have a campfire with games to entertain along with trails around the property to enjoy nature hikes. Look Fiqar's to going back!

What I like: Amazing area, beautiful rooms, everything is new and well thought. What I didn't like: Rooms are super hot and they need better sound insulation. You can hear all from people in other room and depending on your room location, if you are close to the fire pit and chairs outside, you will hear all that also from your room.
