3-star rating, needs updating!
In dire need of interior remodel/ updating! The front desk service was very friendly and easy check in. My stay was five nights and my room was semi cleaned twice... which consisted of towel swap and partial garbage removal. Towels were worn out and rough, blanket had visible stains evidence that they had not been laundered. Bedspreads had cigarette burn holes and most likely not cleaned. Pillows had dirty hair smell. Water temperature was great, although sink faucet was very difficult to turn on and leaked. Tub had stains and consistent leak from faucet, toilet Bowl was very stained. Outlets were not securely attached to the walls. Overhead light as you entered the room was dim... probably need light bulbs replaced. Carpet was very stained and worn, be sure to keep your shoes on! Driveway to the lodgements needs attention. Very quiet and peaceful in the lodgement area, where I stayed. Walking distance to an excellent Mexican restaurant and Speedway gas station, close proximity to other restaurants, businesses. Would only return if lodgements are updated. https://photos.app.goo.gl/tjg8esMzmzDdQPft5

A Blast From The Past!!!
This place was straight out of the 1970's, you even fill out a Guest Registration CARD, yes, that's right, an actual card that you write on with a pen. I haven't done that in tbe US for over 30 years. :) This place is super retro, a blast from the past, the staff was super friendly and the bed was comfy, the place could have been cleaner but it was okay. If you want to experience an old school motel, this is the place. :)

Pros: Off the beaten path. Cool Mountain rooms that look like cabins on the inside. Ok View. Affordable. Cons: Older Rooms.

Property was alright but a little run down. Bed was comfortable. Internet was poor.

2/10 Poor

Ants ruins food and wasp fell out of the bathroom exhaust fan. I expected older feel but it’s not kept up. Ladders in the bushes and over growth around buildings has made it a bug haven. Ruined a $40 pizza with ants and wasn’t excited about the wasps coming out of the exhaust fan. When I told the receptionist she said “ oh wow” clearly didn’t care and wasn’t shocked as the statement might lead you to believe.

4/10 Fair

The property overbooked, so we did not receive the two queen beds as booked - instead there was a rollout cot. An $11 discount was applied, but we definitely wanted the second bed over the discount. The walls are very thin, and we heard the neighbors throughout the night. The property is more rundown than the pictures indicate. The staff is very friendly at least.

Nice, but needs work.
While a nice place in the area, it is very old and in need of major overhauls. The bathroom sink leaked and the floor was buckled, the shower head was jet powered and when you bumped it, it sprayed water out of the fittings. The overall decor was dated well into last century . The smell of marijuana was strong coming down from other guests. Staff was awesome - wish the facility could meet their attitude.

Expedia listing said three bedrooms. Property only had 1.5 bedrooms which wasn't good enough. Turns out they only gave us part of the property and there was another part.locked up. We called the manager and eventually worked it out and got the keys to the other property. It was dirty and dated. Wouldn't stay there again

The grounds around the hotel are really nice. If you have a dog, in the back there is room to run for them. It was pretty quiet and it was really easy to navigate. Beds were clean, however there was a pillow in the closet with hair from a dog all over it. The down side was that the facility has not been updated in many many years. There was a yellow jacket infestation on the back porch and we had to move the chairs to the front porch where you sat out in the open and had to see the people coming in and out. The lamp had no light in it and the shade was filthy with weird stains. The bathroom was really small and the toilet was located right in the middle of the bathroom. No vending, if you want ice you have to go all the way to the front office and if you are located in the back it's quite a hike. Front staff was relatively friendly.

The cabins are definitely by themselves. Our cabin had an old waterbed frame with mirrors above the bed. Made for interesting conversation with 2 just out of college kids. Haha. Would for sure stay again staff was very friendly and check in was quick and easy.

Carpet felt sticky and the toilet seat was all beat up. Looked like the original seat. Could use some updating for the price per night. Staff was great and the jacuzzi was a vibe.
