Brighton
Good clean and nice hotel and value for money
alan john, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

perfect service
We got a room with a lot of noise from the toilet/bathroom, but as soon as we "complained" about this we were moved to another room and the staff gave us free breakfast.

Ibis Brighton
Shower wasn't clean, clearly hairs left on the floor. Disappointing as I've stayed there numerous times and never had similar problems.

No power sockets bedside/hotel in good location
WiFi was dodgy, especially in lobby. Very convenient location. Whoever thought to put the main light switch in the center of the bed at pillow level is an idiot and probably same idiot who decided not to fit power sockets on either side of bed where most people charge their mobiles.

Suited us for 2 nights
Big room, basic bus all you needed. Breakfast good, enough choice. Well sited near station and everywhere we needed to go walkable.

Did I just stay in a hostel?
As Basic of a place I’ve ever stayed and not what I expect from Ibis, a good standard of hostel is what I’d call the place. Bed was uncomfortable, floor in the room was dirty, had hair and purple fluff, ominous stain on the curtains and the bathroom was similar to a caravan pod. It just all felt to enclosed and to be charged £6.20 for a can of Guinness that I had to pour myself from a bar melded with a reception wasn’t a good experience.

Hair
Stay was good but I paid for breakfast for two days but my first breakfast I found a hair stuck to the bacon so put me off eating the rest and I missed out the following morning as well because of it, the room was a bit tired but ok

Great location and value
Great location .. friendly service .. comfortable room, cosy but functional bathroom .. one nighter to attend a concert .. only things missing for me - an iron (which I could probably have asked for) and a safe ..

A good first impression
I was pleasantly pleased with the room and for the price it was definitely worth it although a few minor details or cleanliness it didnt affect the overall stay that i had.

Great service.
I’ve stayed at the Ibis Brighton many times, the staff are always welcoming, accommodating to our room preferences. The went out of their way to arrange some treats in the room when we stayed over a birthday weekend. It is convenient location for us.

Substandard stay
On first appearance the room looked tidy. However there was a big puddle on the floor by the kettle. The sofa had stains on it. The window ledge had black mould near the ends The mattress topper was smaller than the mattress. The duvet was smaller than the mattress topper-not long enough. The bed creaked every time I moved. I did let the staff know when I checked out and was offered a coffee…and then a breakfast. I didn’t take either. Definitely not worth the price I was charged. Also only 2 teabag sachets in the room?
Sofa had dubious stains
Sarah, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great value
Comfy stay, street a little noisy at night. No safe, parking discounted at rcp car park. Great value, great location. Will definitely use again.
Rachel, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good value. Very central and within easy reach of all amenities. Mattress toppers annoying as 2 singles and slid apart! Apart from that might consider staying there again because of the great value for money.
Sophie, 1-night trip
