our stay at this budget hotel has been surprisingly comfortable, even with the typically cramped quarters you'd expect in a central city location. the location itself is a major perk, being just minutes away from bustling streets and public transport. the ac works really well, which is a relief in the humid climate, and the lobby has a pleasant scent that makes a good first impression.
the room offers all the essentials—there’s a smart tv loaded with movies and youtube, which is a nice touch. our view overlooks the city, and although we can hear the trains passing by, i actually enjoy it as it adds character to the atmosphere. the only drawback for me is the single elevator serving all 14 floors—it can mean a bit of a wait during peak times.
laundry services are available, which has been really convenient for us, and housekeeping is provided every third day unless requested otherwise. upon checking in, we received two complimentary boxes of japanese curry, a small but thoughtful gesture. they also provide slippers and yukatas for an added touch of comfort. there are many apas in japan (like starbucks) so make sure of the address.
