We had a wonderful time at the Rhett House Inn and will definitely be back! My wife and I were celebrating our 15th anniversary and Beaufort was the perfect place to get away for a few days. We enjoyed the accommodations immensely! The staff are super friendly, Chef Beverly is incredible, and we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience. The perks (State Parks pass with your stay, charcuterie every evening and dessert every night, along with the ability to check out the bicycles) all combined to provide a wonderful and natural way to enjoy an area we had never visited before. Thank you SO SO much to the Rhett House Inn and the staff for your incredible hospitality!

The property is fine, the outside porch needs some TLC , breakfast is served a little late, i couldn’t have breakfast any day since i was out early for activities. The lady in the afternoon shift at the front desk is great, she is very helpful.

Not great
Don't stay in cottage room 11. Shower was full of black mold and mattress is a floral spring mattress from the mid 20th century. Worst night of sleep we've had in years. There was some porch light on from another unit right outside our room with no way to darken the window or turn it off. Had we not arrived so late we would have changed rooms

The breakfast menu is exceptional, and the selections were prepared to perfection. The staff (small, like a family) were wonderfully friendly and sociable, which was the best part of the stay. The room was neat and clean and roomy enough, but not quite as "B&B-ish" as I might have expected.

Really liked the inn, especially the veranda where they serve breakfast. I frequent historic inns. A lot of nice architectural features inside and out. My room (#9) was a disappointment. It was old and drab with stained carpet. It looked like no one had gotten around to it. Would stay at the inn again, but not in that room.

The door to the room wouldn't open because of swollen wood and it had to wait 90 minutes to get in and slept with the door open.

Wonderful bed and breakfast in a plantation styled mansion. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Had morning coffee on the 2nd floor porch under the shade of live oaks and Spanish moss. Great breakfast that can be enjoyed inside or on the front porch. Upscale snacks begin at 3:00 p.m. and desserts provided later in the evening. Close to town making the stores and waterfront park walkable. A nice place to stay in a lovely town.

Loved our stay at RHI! Beautiful property with a friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in room 17 which was across the street and apart from the main house. We loved the privacy of being outside the main house with all the foot traffic. Our room was quiet, comfortable and had a lovely front porch with rockers. Room was on the small size but more than adequate and the bathroom was gigantic. In room fridge, fireplace and coffee maker. Room 17 is an upstairs unit, which we preferred as we don’t like to hear footsteps on the ceiling. There are only stairs to access this unit so if you can’t manage stairs or taking up your luggage, this wouldn’t be a good choice for you. Our friends stayed in the main house room 7 and it was a fantastic unit as well. Huge room but small bathroom. Had direct access to outside patio area. They did not complain about any noise. Only room I saw that I wouldn’t care for is room 1- in main house lobby where there would be LOTS of noise and foot traffic.
Great stay! Highly recommend!

The welcome of warm chocolate cookies was the perfect end to a long driving day. Room 16 in the cottage was perfect for us, a comfortable bed and a Jacuzzi tub to soothe body and soles after hours of roaming the beautiful neighborhood. The French toast breakfast was so good. The front porch tables were full but the tables and service inside were great too. There were some minor problems in the bathroom lighting. Everything was clean and very attractive in decor. We would stay here again. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
