Good location.
Hotel was in a good position easy to access from the M4 and just a few minutes from the tube. It also had parking for 4 cars. We managed to get one of the spots. This was the good thing. Inside the carpets in the corridors are old and dirty. The room was okay but you could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and people walking along corridors. No one at reception told us much of anything and I have no idea if breakfast was on offer or not.

Do not book this hotel.
Booked 3wks in advance with all requirements/advisories included. Confirmed later that same day by the hotel. Fast forward: Cancelled 3hrs before arrival at their end… no support and no confirmation we wouldn’t still be charged as a late cancellation despite it being cancelled BY them due to information provided on initial booking. Hotels.com amazing, Hotel 55 rubbish.

Great service on small room.
Customer service was good and room was clean however carpet was wet. The room is very small and with very little room to open suitcase or walk… maybe better to replace double bed with single to leave more space? Consider this when booking for a couple … as solo traveller I just put my suitcase on the other side of the bed. It was very close to metro station.

Hotel 55 - 2 night stay
Hotel room was clean, although way too small. You could just go around the bed, could barely open the wardrobe doors, bathroom was small as well. They have a nice looking bar area and a backyard but unfortunately there was no service provided.

Room smelled like very bad bug spray. Later on we found a bed bug under the sheets. Bathroom had mildew all over the shower wall and on the shower door. The floors were so dirty that we walked around with socks on. I wish I could attach pictures for people to see how bad the place was.

Lovely stay and well maintained. Really friendly staff. In a really great location, tube is a few min walk. Only negative would be the parking. It states parking available but there are only 4 spaces. I would suggest updating the listing to say “Very limited parking”. However, there was parking available near by on street. Overall a great stay, will stay again.

OK
Overall an average stay. Main negative was the very loud door closing on other rooms meaning if you want to lie in there’s no chance. Overall decor standard wasn’t as nice as the photos in real life. It was clean and tidy though and positives were staff, location, close by nice cafes and value for money in the area. We probably wouldn’t stay again but it suited the needs of our trip this time.
