Fantastic, clean and comfy hotel in great location
Absolutely loved this hotel. Receptionist on check in was very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. The room was fabulous, one huge room with queen bed and a totally separate room with a single bed and basin. Having a partner who snores like a freight train, the separate bedroom was a godsend. Lovely breakfast both cooked and continental. Great location right on the Hoe and 5 minutes walk to The Barbicon. Quick walk to city centre. Everything was really clean and the towels were large and fluffy. If not travelling would have stayed for a week. £10 to park overnight with paid street parking also available. Parking might be a bit tight in high season. Overall a great stay.

Central location - welcoming staff
Hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. Our room was clean but a bit shabby with large damp patch on ceiling. Breakfast was good and location was central. Only disappointment was that there was no parking available.

Absolutely amazing stay. The staff, specifically the general manager, was lovely beyond belief. She went above and beyond to help us celebrate our "minimoon".

Lovely place and great service.
Lovely hotel and a great room. Minor plumbing issue but didn't affect our stay. Breakfast expensive for what it was.

6/10 Good

Nice enough but not wonderful
A nice old school Bed and Breakfast in a good location for the event we were attending on Plymouth Hoe . It’s all a bit tired but the room was clean and pleasant enough and the reception staff were very friendly . No parking was available on the day and it’s £12 a night if it is which is on a par with the multi storey a few hundred metres away . All in all it was fine for our needs on this trip but am surprised that it has such a high (9.6 when we booked ) rating especially given the price is similar to much plusher hotels in the area but good luck to them !

One night stay
Good service at the hotel, spotless facilities in the room and communal areas, excellent and good value breakfast. Let down by awkward, tandem car parking facilities, broken light in bathroom (acknowledged by hotel) and by receiving nine "spam" like e mails from the umbrella owners' company in the week before arrival, the later ones asking if we had enjoyed our stay before we had even checked in!

2/10 Poor

Used to be amazing - now poor
Used to be fabulous but new changes brought in have spoilt it. Now a lukewarm buffet breakfast when it used to be table service for much less money. Car park now £12 when it used to be included. Room wasn’t clean. The staff who have been there a long time are as wonderful as ever but everything else is now poor.

8/10 Very Good

Room was nice but charging £12.50 to park in the hotel car park is ludicrous. Especially as I had to move a car that was blocking me in the following morning.

6/10 Good

The hotel and rooms were smart, clean and well presented. Breakfast was very good. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and on a hot night this required having the window open all night which meant it was quite noisy. Car parking is absolute chaos though, tiny car park which means most cars are blocked in and they charge you £15.00 which seems very high.
