Dirty
Not a great stay, was very dirty, carpet had so many stains the seating part by the window which could have been lovely to look out to the sea was ripped and really filthy, as for the shower, we didn't have one, a slow trickle of water but the main reason didn't have a shower was because it was so dirty didn't look like it had been cleaned for months.

The building tried. Hard to hide flaws with quirky paint scheme. First glance is very nice but facilities are awful. Our shower didn’t work and had to was using the sink. Bed was rock solid on a flimsy frame. Walls are not sound proof and anyone moving even a floor below would resonate in our room. Bloke snoring downstairs was soothing tho. Couple having sex in our ears was not so. Staff was incredibly friendly and never felt unsafe.

8/10 Very good

The trip was great and the accomodation was brilliant, the management allowed me to check in early for a small fee which was fantastic. the room was well presented and it was very quiet considering the hotels location and the room i was given was next to their reception area.

8/10 Very good

The room was small, but comfortable, I only stayed a night there, the place is nicely decorated, bathroom facilities are a little small, taps in the sink did not work which need looking at urgently, overall though I was happy for what I paid.

No ventilation, poor quality seal on window. Mouldy sewage smell, no privacy filter or blind on roof light which can see into other rooms.

This street is very unsafe as my experience and me and my family felt very unsafe even left a day earlier. The reception was not always around and there were no cleaning during our stay even it mentioned in the ads

The room was exceptionally small and didn’t resemble the photo on the hotel site! Windows rattled and was very noisy. Clean and fairly well- maintained.

8/10 Very good

It was basic but pleasant at the same time. I would strongly recommend booking one of their three parking spots outside the hotel if you’re taking the car. It’s £20 out front but £40 a day in the multi story car parks that are a fair Walk away with heavy cases! The hotel was in a good location for when you’ve had enough and need to sleep without loads of noise! Only saw a receptionist once during my stay so can’t say anything about the staff. It’s average, get a good price. Enjoy yourself!

Garlicky bathroom stench to wake you up!
Hotel was in a great location. Room was very small and on the top of a 4 storey house which was not advertised. Bathroom stank of garlic in the morning. Chap on front desk didn’t advise the front door would be locked once all guests had checked in - there was a key for the door but would have been nice to have been advised. Glad we only stayed for the one night.

Booked for my Daughter for 3 nights a non refundable room , she managed 1 night and checked out and found a friend to stay with for the remaining 2 nights , the bed sheets were stained the room smelt damp and had mould in it , unfortunately as an asthma sufferer this exacerbated her symptoms and she made the decision to leave . I did message the property on the day my daughter left and still have had no response ! Don’t stay here

The Willow Hotel
Our room was very dusty, the sink and toilet had limescale build up. The room doesn't have double glazing, so the room was very chilly in March. Our room had a small kettle and only 3 sashes of coffee for the 3 night me and my daughter stayed. We had to buy our own. The view was nice

Needed somewhere cheap for a couple of days, was ok as only there to sleep and tried to stay out all day and was clean. Bathroom very small and door difficult to lock and keep shut. Shower head low so difficult to do more than a quick rinse. Bed not overly comfortable but could be personal preference for a softer mattress.

The first room I saw was not good (nowhere to put clothes, dodgy lamp). The second one was better but no way was this worth the price paid. The saving grace was the one member of staff, who was very helpful.

Rooms do not match the pictures, our room was tiny and dirty, we didn’t even stay, booked another hotel and left, no one on reception so had to drop the keys off and go, have emailed numerous times to try and get a refund and no one bothers to respond. avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs!!!!
I booked a double room they tried to give me a single covered in flies when there was clearly two of us. Room was then changed to what I originally booked but then room was again filled with flies everywhere. Found a secret camera in one of the ceiling lights. The bathroom had to air vents. The window was full of mould. The rooms surrounding us were very loud during the night due to the thin walls. As the hotel is on a slope, our room was slanted with the head of the bed descending. Just a terrible dirty experience. Never again!!!!

A little tired….
Bed was comfy (even if did fill room) I was expecting a single but got a double which was a plus. I had a good nights sleep. Parts are looking tired and the floor in bathroom needed repairs and the sink was literally falling off the wall…put my hand on it whilst brushing my teeth and literally moved! I hope they spend time now season coming to an end that they rectify these issues. Only mirror was above sink so couldn’t really see what I was wearing, but plug socket by bed near door to bathroom, meant I could straighten my hair.

I booked a 1-night stay at this hotel almost 6 months ago for this weekend. The location is brilliant and I didn't have issues with the noise outside as I'm a heavy sleeper. However, the carpet in my room was filthy when I checked in, full of pieces of paper and hair pins. I didn't try to change rooms because I was planning to spend most of the time outside anyway but I felt the cleaning standards were definitely not worth the £110 rate for one night. Disappointing.

Not what I expected
Bad points: Arrived at the hotel to find that my booking was not on the list despite booking back in January. The staff member then asked us to wait outside as there was no indoor seating area meaning we had to wait with our luggage. After approx 15 minutes the staff member advised us he ‘found a room’ for us and gave us the key. The hotel is small and very compact, spread over 3 floors. The room I specifically stayed in felt very small and there was not much standing height. The bathroom was tiny and there was a small sink in the corner that was too small to do anything with. The room appears to need a revamp as there is dried marks on the wall that looks like old condensation. The room I stayed in looked nothing like the pictures. There was also a brown smear near the bed frame that I washed off myself, I refrained from flagging this to the staff as I knew there would be no other room to transfer to as the hotel was at capacity. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable and the room was overal very stuffy Good points: very close to city centre and beach front

This isn’t really a hotel it’s a converted house! This isn’t really an issue and I was sort of aware of that when I booked it. The overall experience was meh. The room was really small! Certain areas haven’t been cleaned in a very long time.. we found cigarette butts in the room, crumbs and other waste in chairs and on the floor and the shower had quite a bit of mould growing in it. The property provided less than the minimum when it comes to amenities not even having shampoo or body wash. Overall you get what you pay for and it’s in a really good location to get around Brighton but be aware it’s not up to the standard you’d expect with most chains.

Avoid avoid and avoid
Avoid avoid and avoid this place, turn up couple minutes before checking in, and the door was locked, pressed the bell many times and no response, even phoned the three numbers they have pinned in a clear plastic wallet which was trenched and ripped and still no response, stayed around for 30mins and no one came, blue wall outside the front door was falling and very unsafe. Contacted Hotels.com answered their scripted question and they tried to contact them and they didn't have a response. Had an email today (6.3.24) from hotels.com saying I can't have refund as the property (who answered this morning 6.3.24) said they wouldn't give a refund as it was a nonrefundable room (again I will say no one was at the property nor answered the bell or the phone, and also didn't answer when hotels com phoned on the day I was supposed to stay... Please tell me how that is fair.... Please avoid this place and read all the review

Dissapointing and unsatisfactory stay
We were returning guests after having a wonderful stay here previously, but the hotel is under new management. We were greeted pleasantly and the staff allowed us to leave our bags before the check in time. Check in itself was quick. Our room was located on the ground floor next to the reception desk. Due to this, we could hear staff on the phone as well as loud music playing from the reception area and this continued until late. The room itself looked basic (less decor and little touches) compared to our previous stay. It was clean enough to stay in however the room itself seemed tired and in need of attention. No toiletries were provided in the bathroom and sadly the pump on the handsoap was broken. Following our dissapointing stay, compared to our previous stay under other management, we will not be returning as we believe the price of the stay was not reflected in our visit.
