Staying at the laquinta boone was ok the jotel is dated and needs to be cleaned better on a daily basis. The cleanliness of thw common areas was good, however there were alot of folks being very loud after midnight which allowed for very little sleep

Smells
During our stay we opted several times to use the stairs and there was a smokers butt disposal right next to the door with several people smoking right outside making the whole stairwell as well as the hallway leading to our room smell of cigarette smoke. The state of NC has a law that does not allow for smoking near doors. I did notify the staff and I think they sprayed something but it still lingered. There was also a very strong odor in our room of burnt popcorn. We had put food in the fridge and it ruined our food from the smell, it seemed like someone may have burnt a bag of popcorn and then put in in the fridge, it was a very strong smell. Other than that, our stay was pleasant!

If you want to get high then this is your place!!
Went to visit my daughter in Boone NC, Check in was great, staff was friendly, Thought this was a NON SMOKING Hotel, smelled marijuana on first and second floors, ALL WEEKEND!! Hey I dont care what they do, but do that crap OUTSIDE!! Staff did NOTHING about it!! On top of ALL THAT had to evacuate due to fire alarm going off due to way to much humidity in the pool short circuiting the fire alarm pull station in the pool area, by the way it was 18 degrees that night!!

In the middle of an absolute disaster in Boone, these employees went above and beyond they were helpful. They were pleasant the buildings clean they make sure people had with they needed. They actually provided a hot breakfast in the morning. It was really something to see this was a wonderful experience in a dire time.

The room did not smell funny or bad. The sheets felt good. The room was quiet. The AC worked well and thermostat was easy to control. The TV worked and had a fair number of channels. A convenient, central location. I wished it had an actual restaurant. They were “out of” bottled water. I had to ask for a TV channel guide. The more convenient bedside lamp didn’t work. Only1 window and no way to get fresh air other than lower the thermostat. Congested traffic situation entering & exiting. i will stay again bcz the staff were friendly & helpful, it was clean, they used non-objectionable cleaning products, and it was economical.
