I got a call at 3pm and I hadn’t even left from my home yet, wondering about my check-in and if I got to my room. Thought nothing of it at the time until when we got to the hotel we couldn’t get in our room. The great desk attendant came up, opened the door and SURPRISE! It’s bc someone was already in there! Turns out they have been having system issues ALL DAY and having to change people’s rooms but they couldn’t mark it in the system. Tip 1 for hotel, FIND A WAY TO MAKE NOTE OF THESE CHANGES!!! Tip 2 for hotel, PASS THAT INFORMATION ON TO THE NEXT EMPLOYEE!!!
The desk clerk that was there at check-in was awesome and seemed to take it all in stride. Surprised the manager wasn’t more aware that this issue was ongoing. He did go upstairs to find out who was in “our” room since it wasn’t in the system that anybody else was to be there and they were sold out for the night.
