Ehhhhh
Overall ok, just a few issues such as staff being really loud in the hallways outside of our door waking us up around 7am. Internet was spotty and went out completely on our last night there. Also hot water ran out really fast, not sure if the weather has anything to do with it or not but you would think a hotel would be able to efficiently cover taking a hot shower for 10 min. Water was also cut off completely one evening and wasn't notified about it until we had to call the front desk.

Many hotel stays, this was by far the WORST!
The hotel was beautiful from the outside, the inside was terrible. The carpet in the hall and stairs were stained and nasty. We had to move rooms because of dried snot all over the walls and tv, a used loofah was left in our shower. Cockroaches and no batteries in the smoke alarm in the room. The property and hallways reeked of marijuana as well as the “long term” residents staying there. The second night the fire alarm sounded, the dryer at the end of the hall caught fire and as we were exiting the building the receptionist stated “it’s a false alarm, someone was smoking in their room” clearly is was not since my husband, my son’s and another guest use the fire extinguisher to put it out before existing the building. Unfortunately due to the lack of hotels in this area and we were there for a job we had to stick it out until our jobs were complete. As we checked out my husband tried to tell the receptionist about the stay as she was eating her waffles behind the desk while talking to him between bites and a mouth full of food. Next time we will travel further to stay elsewhere.

Worst Stay ever
Let me start out by saying the front desk was awesome. Your hotel is trash. I wouldn’t stay there ever again. First you had roaches my door and room 201 was not sealed. I can see the light you have someone sleeping in the hall doors to the entrance to your hotels on the side has no lock on them. The phone system in your hotel does not work, I’m sending you some pictures of your hotel. I will never stay in none of your hotels again. Oh yes, we stayed there for four days. The hot water ran for one day no running hot water. The bef frame had A piece of tim under the mattress for $89 a night it reminded me of motel six we leave the lights on. I understand that’s a hotel for the people that are doing construction in that area but your location is right next to a funeral home and people come in town for funerals and that’s where they got to stay in. Again, your front desk guy Brian Willoughby was great, but your hotel has safety problems stayed in a couple of your hotels before and felt safe didn’t feel too safe. I was in town for a funeral.
These are your remotes they are cracked
This is a hole that they patched up in your bathroom
These are the back of your remotes
This is your bathtub where the faucet is hanging off

Don't stay there if at all possible
Absolutely disgusting having roaches in the bathroom and refrigerator. Freezer didnt look like it had been cleaned in over a year. Once roaches were noticed it made sleeping uncomfortable thinking that they were likely more that might crawl over me while sleeping.

When we arrived there were an extraordinary amount of dried boogers stuck to the walls. The bathrooms were dirty and pasta sauce or blood was on the wall. Cockroaches were through the lobby and common areas. The washers and dryers were broken and needed to be serviced. All of the metal was rusted. Paint on the walls was missing where a lot of dents that needed to be repaired. The light plate covers were filthy. The exhaust fan in the bathrooms were covered with mold and dust. We had to buy clorox wipes and clean the walls and the room. It was disgusting and filthy! The orange juice machine pumped out rancid juice and was unedible. Find another place to stay. I do not recommend this location.

To whom this concerns, I booked a room for nights Friday and Saturday in your establishment (RM 216). After working Thursday night in a busy ER then driving down to Holden beach and doing some work on my property I failed to check the room for roaches!! I did do a bed check for bedbugs I always make that a priority when checking into a motel especially since I see people on a regular basis with bedbugs at my job! I took a shower left and got something to eat and came back to room and went to bed! During the evening my husband daughter and son in law arrived to the facility they noticed a roach scurrying across the table. They tried to brush it off oh it’s just a bug. They told me about it when we got up at 7 to leave and go to our property to work. Fast forward to Saturday night after my husband got out of the shower he was laying in bed and a roach started crawling on his leg!! We went and told the front desk attendant and she gave us keys to room 234 we went and checked out the room to make sure it did not have any Days Inn pets. What we found in that room was horrible! Food was still in fridge from previous guest, along with food in drawer and then trash in other drawer. A washcloth behind trash can, mattress falling apart, and a baby roach crawling on lamp shade. I took pictures and again went and showed the attendant. She then gave me keys to another room this time on first floor. Same thing roaches!!! Ended up leaving and staying at Holiday inn near Southport!
