Handicapped Access Nightmare (Extra Cost)
Our stay was very disappointing because we paid extra for a handicapped suite and it was not well-equipped for someone in a motorized wheelchair with little mobility. The toilet was too close to shower/cabinet that it was impossible to get scooter close enough to the toilet to transition over. This meant needing extra assitance. Plus the bed was so high that I could not get into it from wheelchair and had to sleep on the sofa. Horrible experience overall and paid extra for a handicapped room. You should consider evaluating your rooms for mobility AND should not charge more for services that are not up to standards.

Stay at Holiday Inn Escondido
Overall it’s a good hotel. Service was good. Breakfast was excellent. However, the elevator is a bit dirty. I think it’s also being used as a freight elevator. Lastly, behind our room is Highway 15 and it does get a bit noisy at times.

Great with a few issues
Service was great, all employees were kind and attentive. Room worked out well, just a few kinks. The mini fridge was unbalanced and was teetering when touched, and the shower drain seemed to not be doing a sufficient job as the water was going down the drain to keep it from standing in an inch of water. So little tidbits that make me feel petty and really had no effect on our stay, overall we were very happy with the room.

I spent 3 nights at this location and the first night we had no water and the days after that the toilet wouldn’t flush so we had to try multiple times or use the restroom on the first floor. I hope to receive a refund because even though I have stayed here before I don’t know that I would come back here again. Also it is very difficult to reach the entrance considering the lines at the local restaurants leading into the hotel area. Hopefully they can resolve these issues soon.
