Not a good experience
No central AC in hotel, but rather there was a wall unit that makes really loud noises. Security is also non-existent in this hotel. You can get to any floor without a guest room key, and you can even enter from the garage directly to the guest floors without a guest key. There were displaced people in the lobby at checkout at 7am and the staff did not appear concerned. Also, I was there for 3 nights and only received housekeeping service once. The coffee shop is closed, but there is no signage explaining that and the website still advertises a coffee bar serving Starbucks coffee. The restaurant is advertised as open until 10pm, but in fact closes much earlier around 8am.

Lack of service, did not replace towels, had no room service, ceiling chipping in the bathroom, did not respond for a room request of towels. Surprised by big bug in the bathroom. Called in the a.m. to request towels again and we never got any so we used our dirty ones. Couldn’t wait to check out. The best part of the hotel is the lobby and the Designer fragrance smell. Once you get on the elevator, it’s downhill from there..

Doubletree Disappointment
This hotel looks like it was once grand. However it is not now. The rooms are lightly cleaned, there was evidence of smears and sprays on the glass and the edges of things were brown either with age or dirt. There were no bath towels provided in our room and when we wanted to request them at 8:00 am on a Saturday, there was NO ONE working the front desk. The WiFi was provided but did not work properly. There was a rooftop bar with a a gorgeous view but expensive drinks that were not well made. Overall, this was a huge let down. We usually love Doubletree but did not love this location.

At check-in we were informed there were no rooms to give us even though we had a reservation for 2 rooms. Evidently there was mold and the ceilings were collapsing. We were told they were going to send us to another hotel and we wouldn't have to pay. They sent us to an extended stay hotel that was so unbelievably sketchy we did not feel safe staying. The front desk person at the new hotel tried to charge us multiple fees even though we had been told we wouldn't have to pay and said we were the 6th set of people double tree had tried to send them. We called double tree back they sent us to a different hotel that was having technical troubles and couldn't find us a room even though the Double Tree representative told me they had confirmed there were rooms ready for us. We didn't get into a room until 3:30AM. This was a disaster and Double Tree never followed up to see if we found a room. I called back to see about getting the promised refund that we still haven't gotten and the Manager is always unavailable and their voicemail is full.
