So I'm going explain what happened on the day I booked my stay at this hotel at around 1 AM. I checked on Expedia to see if I could find a hotel. I found this hotel made a payment online via Expedia, got a confirmation number, called the phone number that was listed to confirm that I can check-in even though it was at 1 AM in the morning. The person I spoke to said yes, it was fine to come through, they will check me in. I get to the location and the front desk person asks me "How did I pay?" And I explained that I paid online, and I have a confirmation number and they said, I quote "Expedia doesn't pay us our money for months so we cannot check you in." What? Why is that my problem? If you have issues with Expedia, why do you still have your listing on Expedia. I asked. They insisted that I call their manager to discuss the issue. What? Why do i have to talk to your manager? How is that my responsibility. After a few back and forth, I succumbed and called the manager. Things got worse as this woman called Sade, berated me with insults, claiming that i didnt pay to her account directly and she can't let me in because Expedia doesn't pay them in. I was used because how am i supposed to know her account details whilst booking online on Expedia. Besides there was no option to 'Reserve now and Pay at the hotel' it was a frustrating nversation. I was livid but there was reasoning with these people even after i had already paid at 1am and now it is almost 2am.
