What a delightfully warm, interesting and tasteful hotel. It is full of charm, taste and hidden gems. From the superb restaurant, writing room, billiard table or just the evening spent playing cards in the vinyl room. I would recommend a detour to enjoy this excellent hotel. Finally the staff were first class, warm, genuine and very helpful.

Marvelous stay
Wife and I spent two days at hotel. Breakfast (included) was marvelous and we also took advantage of dinner there as well which was very nice as well. As we wanted a low key stay, we walked to the Huskvarna Museum and to the shops at Smedben, and enjoyed the billiards and various games at the hotel. Hotel staff were very kind and gracious and made the stay very relaxing. Room was spacious and quiet and had all the amenities one could want.

Spännande hus. Ser ut som något av ett kråkslott. Men fräscha rum och badrum. Ok frukostbuffé. Jag var där när det var ett julbord, så lite stökigt på kvällen men hade öronproppar. Väldigt bra julpyntat. Fin promenad dagen därpå längs ån, och vackra stigar, kullar.

EJ PRISVÄRT!
Rummet vi fick var rymligt, men slitet med avflagnad färg i hela taket, stora sprickor i väggar och tapeter, slitet badrum (nr 4). För 2350 kr/natt förväntar vi oss betydligt mer. Vi åt middag i matsalen på kvällen. Förrätten i form av Toast Skagen var jättefin och lite annorlunda. Väldigt gott. Huvudrätten däremot var inte lika kul. Kalvytterfilén var grymt seg. När rätten kostar 395 spänn är det nog det sista man förväntar sig. Vi påtalade det under måltiden, men då var det ju så dags. En flaska vin från Bulgarien för 695 kr känns ju också väl tilltaget. Vi har inga problem med högre priser, men då förutsätter vi att priset motsvarar det som ställs på bordet. Ingen skugga dock över serveringen eller mottagandet vid ankomst. Sammanfattningsvis är dock boendet på Slottsvillan och maten på kvällen långt ifrån prisvärt. För vår del blir det inte fler besök här.
