Lovely stay at Victorian House. Great breakfast and good value considering it is in Grasmere Village. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Very friendly. Only criticism would be that the room (7) was bland &grey. Could have done with a few more pictures & some colour.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere with well chosen antique furniture. Staff were both helpful, polite and efficient. Happy to help with a last minute change of booking and also room change to allow us a quieter room on our last night. Breakfast was very good with a great range of cereals and fruit. The homemade fruit yoghurt was a nice surprise Locally sourced food was evident in the cooked breakfast. This is a great hotel handily located close to restaurants and shops.
