We arrived after reception closed and left early morning but staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone and left clear instructions on how to get in. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. Free breakfast was also great! Lovely building and peaceful town, and we want to come back to explore the historical area.

Good
The hotel suited us very well. It was exceptionally good value . The staff were helpful. The only two problems were that the bass creaked really noisily with any movement on them and the fire exit sign in the room gave out a lot of light in the night

A very well placed hotel, in a quiet street. Check in was all automatic. When we had a question a quick phone call resolved it satisfactorily.

2/10 Poor

I booked and paid for 2 nights here. Hotel was LOCKED, DARK & CLOSED upon my arrival in the evening! I called and called but they did not answer the phone. I tried multiple times to contact hotel. No response. I was alone and afraid all night because I had to sleep in my car parked in front of the hotel. This entire small town in France, including all other hotels, even the Best Western, and all the stores and restaurants, were closed. I found out later it was due to a national holiday on May 8th! So, locked out and no place to stay! I landed that very morning in Paris after a long flight from San Francisco, I picked up my rental car and then drove about 2 hours to this hotel only to be locked out. I was exhausted! I went into the hotel early the next morning. They discovered that they had sent an email with checkin codes addressed to the WRONG person, a man's name who I didnt know..not in my name so I didn't see the email. They apologized and explained about the national May 8 French holiday, they told me that I wouldn't have to pay for that 1st night and they let me into my room right away so I could rest because I didn't sleep well in my car. I did stay my second night as planned here. Hotel said they would refund my 1st night but its now June 13th over a month has gone by and they still have not done so even though Ive sent emails asking when they would be refunding my 1st night..can Hotels.com help get my 1st night refunded? I hope so!

Useful base for larger groups & those on a budget
Centrally located with lots of rooms, many with bunk beds, the hotel has the feel of a well appointed youth hostel with kitchen and recreation rooms which can be used as sitting rooms and for eating / drinking your own supplies. Stock up from local beer / wine shop! The rooms are quite basic, but very adequate for what you need. Use the facilities down stairs as a sitting room rather than stay in the room. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, but front desk closes at 17:30, so make sure you get the door code and other instructions if you arrive after this (telephone number on the door if you forget). Overall very nice and very useful base for exploring the Somme and great value if you have a larger number of guests will to share a room. Parking is on the street a few metres away, seems plentiful and quiet area. It can be difficult to get in and out by car if the market or a festival is running, but there is a back route via the medieval gate in the Ramparts which proved very useful for us this weekend with the Festival of St Michel. Ask the hotel if you need any help finding it. Do go to the WW1 museum in Peronne and try the Bistro Antin opposite, very good food and nice people. Walk along the Somme and Ramparts is nice in good weather. We will come back - merci

The Hotel with a Claytons Manager!!
It's a youth hostel type accommodation, it's new, it's clean, but it is very poorly managed. Reception was close at arrival at 1330....contact number was left, but no-one was answering, left three messages, no reply. Manager turns up 1610, no excuse, no apology. Breakfast was the same, he turns up late, no fresh bread at all, no excuses the first day....Second day, the guy doesn't turn up at all, guests had to fend for themselves! I shared a breakfast rolls and cheese I paid for down the road with a fellow guest. In two days the manager spent less than an hour whilst I was there! No chairs in rooms, I took a chair just to sit on in my room....Gee, no chair in your room??? Look, it cheap, clean, but.......

Great value for money
Central hotel with free roadside parking. Although the hotel is quite basic you will not get better value for money with included breakfast and friendly reception.
