Good place to stay
The room was a very good size, clean and had coffee, tea and chocolate making facilities. We had everything we needed in the room. The food was nice and the service was good. It did have golf and leisure services but we didn’t use any of that. Would definitely recommend.

The WI-FI signal in the bedroom was dreadful, as staying for work purposes, this was critical, I couldn't use my own phone data as the phone signal was also poor. Stay at this hotel regularly and find it perfect for me. But felt disappointed this time due to this.

Nothing more than ‘okay’
I stayed for one night (non-golfing trip) as I had a half marathon nearby. On arrival we checked in but were not told anything about where the room even was, when breakfast was, where breakfast was etc. When we got to our room it was an okay size and the bathroom was clearly recently refurbished and was nice, but the room (and rest of the hotel/golf facility) was clearly very outdated (and smelt a bit like an old people’s home). We opted for the £25 breakfast (total for two people) and we got scrambled eggs and apple juice… the quality wasn’t really worth it, but the waitress was nice and friendly and helpful. We left pretty unimpressed, but overall didn’t mind it for just the 1 night.

Terrible WiFi signal. Really old rooms and facilities. Stains all over and spiders throughout. Changed room to get better WiFi signal and the room was quite noisy and couldn't get enough sleep and in the end the WiFi was non-existent. No mobile signal either.The TV is really small. The staff was ok. The bathroom was impeccable and the there was always fresh coffee provided every morning and a kettle in the room.

Disappointed
Neither bed side lamps were plugged in when I turned up, had to move bed to plug in myself, plug sockets by TV were used by the TV and the fan so I had to put my phone charger behind the bed too, kettle was too tall to fill from the sink so I had to use a cup, the wooden surfaces of the furniture are badly marked and this year breakfast wasn't included in my room rate like last year. Unlikely to book again.
