Noisy, loud, uncomfortable
The decor is nice enough but the room was SO loud and noisy from traffic, and it literally shook every single time a truck went past. We booked this place based on the fact it said it was soundproofed, but that’s clearly not the case. Staff originally couldn’t find our booking even though we had pre-paid online so it took over half an hour to check us in, made worse by the fact we had a very tired child with us. They then tried to “upgrade” (hah!) us from the 2 bedroom apartment we had booked to a small studio room that had 2 beds in the lounge. When we asked how this could be seen as an upgrade they said the room was “nicer”.
Eventually they finally agreed to put us in the room we had paid for but all in all it took 45 minutes just to get the key for the right room with a toddler basically yelling the house down & then effectively little to no sleep the whole time we were there due to the noise. When we asked for our money back after the first night so we could go somewhere for the second, they refused & said I had to go back to the “booking agent”which we gave up on after being on hold for over an hour and just went and bought some earplugs from Bunnings instead. As I say the decor was nice enough but if you value sleep and/or you don’t have a lot of time to wait around, I don’t recommend this place.
This is the first negative review we’ve ever left and I hate doing it because I know times are tough for everyone out there but we also wanted to be truthful. Sorry.
