Good
A lovely stay. Roast dinner and breakfast the following morning were delicious. The suite we stayed in was large, nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Easy to find and lots of parking Staff member Nathan and the lady who served us breakfast were both lovely. The cons - the hot water tank run out after my husband had a shower. We had to wait 45 minutes for it to heat up again. For the age/type of building this isn’t a problem but it would be good to give guests the heads up online or at least when they check in. The floorboards upstairs are very creaky so bring earplugs if noise like that may bother you. Not sure where the smoking area is so it might have wafted round due to the strong wind but the smell of cigarette smoke came in to our room a couple of times which wasn’t pleasant. Small detail but a full length mirror would be nice. We had another issue with some of the power going off (storm isha, not the hotels fault) and Nathan on reception was great and sorted it very quickly. Hotels.com have check in listed as 2.30pm, check out 10.30am. Check in is actually 3pm, check out 10am and breakfast is £9.95 if booked via hotels/expedia etc.

Faulty Towers!
From start to finish our experience at the Farmhouse at Fincham is best forgotten! Checked in by a curt, harassed older lady! Room was clean but basic. Broken handle on bath, broken plug! Lunch was over cooked! Breakfast a complete disaster! Only saving grace was a younger woman who I felt sorry for as she struggled to cope!

8/10 Very Good

The room was clean, tidy, really nice. I keep seeing reviews about hard beds, but honestly, I prefer a firmer matress and these were what I'd consider 'soft', so I think its all preference. The layout of the place is a bit confusing, and it feels weird walking down the sides of other cabins, and I can only imagine its even worse in the dark - maybe they're planning on repathing things though! The noise from the gravel they have at night is really loud, though obviously that only matters when cars and people are moving around. The Wifi wasn't fantastic, but its in an area that has mobile phone coverage, so its not the end of the world. A few spooky moments where my TV turned on by itself at about 7am each morning which was very confusing, but thankfully they turned on muted so it wasn't the worst - just something for them to maybe put some salt down over, haha! I am a bit confused that I seem to have been charged £10 more than the Expedia price - when I mentioned it on checking in, staff said it could be to do with the fact that my card had to be tried twice (payment was taken a day earlier than I thought it would be, so I hadn't moved the funds over!) but since its only £10 I think I'll manage it. Just something to keep in mind, move money over to the right card 48 hours before you check in. This isn't mentioned anywhere on Expedia, but its probably right.

Not dog freindly
The rooms where very small not adequate for 2 people and a dog no facilities to let your dog run free not secure if your dog escaped as straight out the entrance with no gate walls were very thin, no tables and chairs outside to sit at back of property would stay there again wasted my 20 points on hotels.com only stayed 1 night and wouldn't give me refund totally dissapointed

Fine, but take some earplugs and don't overpay
Yeah, fine! Issues to consider, paper-thin walls (the rooms are a row of sheds, essentially!) so remember the earplugs! Also, their dynamic pricing is a bit unfair. I booked 2 weeks before our visit and paid £100. I checked 2 days before we arrived and the SAME ROOM was £70. So that didn't impress! The (continental) breakfast is excellent BUT it's free/included on weekdays but not at weekends, which is a shame. We happened to stay when there was an event on (seems a popular place for weddings/birthdays etc), so the entire venue was booked out, so we had to go elsewhere to get dinner. Also meant lots of noise at clear-out time...probably better staying on a weekday. Pros: great to be able to bring the dog along, which we had no issues with. Room was warm (although the radiators are controlled centrally and were turned off at night); decent hot shower; good tea/coffee making facilities.
