Honest 3 out of 5
The Bed was absolutely amazing. Everything else however was downhill and felt pretty mediocre. A big reason why we chose The Savoy was to experience the steam/jet shower in the photos. Turns out the jets are not hooked up. Fancy looking towel hangers is all they are. Loose door knobs, toilet lids and bed side lamps didn’t help the overall experience. But that bed is damn comfortable. I will say that much about the place.

Beautiful property! The space age shower didn’t seem to be fully functional, but a lovely stay regardless

Nice hotel, no elevator
2nd time staying at the Savoy Hotel. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Had to ring for front desk staff. They came fairly quickly. The 2 rooms we stayed in were on the smaller side. Bathrooms nice. No closet, hooks only. Love the hot tub on the roof. Downside no elevator.

Nice room and great location, just not quiet.
Great modernroom, and comfortable bed! Disappointed that the fancy shower in the pictures didn't work, and had to fiddle with the thermostat all night to get the heater/fan to turn off, the fan was set and locked to be on for 55 minutes out of every hour. Ended up opening the patio do to dissable the thermostat. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here for two nights on a romantic getaway to Nelson. We loved the small, boutique vibe, the historic character of the brick feature wall in our room and the rooftop hot tub was fantastic to soak sore muscles after a long hike. The "hometown" service was welcoming and the location great. We will be coming back to stay at this quaint hotel in the future

This quaint hotel feels more like a floor of private hostel rooms, surrounding an open communal kitchen and lounge. This means you can easily hear people outside your room and it would be super difficult to relax if people gathered there to chat/hangout. The rooms are very small, where the king bed takes up most of the space. The bed was very comfy however!! The bathroom had a large window but the bedroom did not have one. The towel rack and floor are heated, which was a nice extra. The shower was from the space age with lots of bells and whistles (but not all of them worked). The shampoo and soaps were really nice and smelled amazing! The power went out during our first morning there, which was inconvenient but notably not the hotels fault. I just wish the staff made an effort to alert us of the issue on their own (I called the desk an hour after it went out to ask and he said he hadn’t tried to contact anyone about it yet). The rooms have a finicky AC unit (very hard to adjust the temperature due to the buttons just not working) but when it was set, it worked well to cool the tiny room. Downside to using it? Someone broke the rules and went up to the rooftop to smoke weed and it came right into our unit. We didn’t want to get high that night but…lol. Finally, I used the sauna for 45 mins and that was great. Worked well and you get privacy as it has to be booked in advance. Was a nice touch!
