Stayed here one night on a weekend trip from Montevideo. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the breakfast was great, and the location was perfect. The wifi in the hotel is very slow and the beds/sheets aren’t the most comfortable, but certainly an incredible value for the price I paid. Would both recommend this stay and return myself!

Personable, attractive and convenient guest house. The staff was super friendly. Great rooms with great air-con and walkable to everything. Beautiful grounds with super cute pool. Great value and perfect for a quick visit to Colonia. They also have facilities to use after you check out like the pool and showers. Wonderful staff.

Great affordable option in Colonia
The colourful/green facade of the building is very much how it really is in really life. If you arrive on the boats it's lovely and close to the port as well as the city gate. Very tranquil, nice atmosphere and it keeps nice and cool inside when the summer gets quite hot. Also great value.

Great location, great staff, wonderful ambiance, good breakfast, great environment.
We stayed in a lesser room which could have used a few upgrades, particularly in the bathroom. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

I love the Colonial style, staff is wonderful people, owner is very nice too, all them make you feel at home.
Building Need some maintenance on doors and bathrooms need some upgrades to match the price.

Colonia’s old acquaintance
This old gem of Colonia has charm but its rooms are in need of maintenance. In general friendly and helpful staff. Terrible WiFi. It offers a reasonably good breakfast (Uruguayan style). Very short walk to the historical center.

The property was conveniently located but was unfortunately falling apart. The pictures make it look like a charming character home, but in our room, the ceiling and walls were peeling and the furniture had cracks in it. The breakfast area was nice, however, and they had a decent spread.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They waited until late in the evening (~22:00) for us to arrive and then got us settled well. They figured out what we needed for transportation and timing to get us to our destination in the morning and arranged for the taxi, letting us know what the cost would be. We really appreciated the hospitality and support.
The room could have been cleaner and in better repair, but it was serviceable for the one late night.

La locación está fenomenal para acceder caminando a todo el centro histórico. Las instalaciones son modestas, el personal es amable y hay limpieza diaria. En invierno, con bajas temperaturas, el sistema de calefacción de las habitaciones no es suficiente, necesitan renovarse, son ruidosas. También el acceso a agua caliente, requiere de coordinación ya que usan termofón de pocos litros.

Atendimento muito bom, quando cheguei pedi um outro quarto que foi prontamente atendido, pois sou alérgico e o cheiro de mofo estava muito forte. Entretanto essa nova suíte estava em estado de manutenção bem pior que a primeira suíte. Banheiro apertado e cheio de mofo nos rejuntes, instalações e mobília no geral muito velhas e mofadas. Café da manhã praticamente só com pães, bolos, queijo e presunto. Poucas opções de frutas, expostas em quantidades ridículas e já oxidadas, pois estavam picadas em pedaços apropriados para uma sala de frutas. Como só passei uma diária, aquentei. Mas, sugeria fechar as portas e efetuar uma reforma geral, pois a localização é boa e a casa está na parte histórica. Se contratar um bom arquiteto transforma tudo. Nota mil para a gerente que foi muito simpática.

Fácil acceso desde el puerto, personal de una amabilidad extrema, habitación cómoda con todo lo necesario. Apartado de la zona que pudiera ser ruidosa (si la hubiera en Colonia). Lo recomiendo para descansar.

Infraestrutura péssima
Passamos uma noite no quarto 1, somos um casal com um filho de 5 anos. Foi em julho, mês mais frio do ano. Apesar disso, o ar condicionado não funcionava para aquecer e a pousada não dispunha de aquecedor para nos ceder. Passamos frio de madrugada, inclusive porque os cobertores adicionais oferecidos já que o aquecedor não funcionava eram de solteiro. O único cobertor de casal tinha furos e apresentava manchas. Na manhã seguinte, tivemos a desagradável surpresa de que a energia caiu quatro (sim, quatro) vezes nas duas horas entre o momento em que acordamos e o momento em que deixamos a pousada. Não recomendamos essa experiência.
