No 24/7 front desk, hot water, or heat.
The hotel has deteriorated significantly in one year. The hot tub was cold, they would not turn on the heat in the building, and the hot water was a gamble, at best. We asked about heat, and they said that they don’t turn it on in October. They closed the front desk at 8 ish in the evening and did not have anyone there until the morning. There was no one there when we came back after dinner or later. The key to the front door was in the lock with no front desk or security, save some old scruffy dogs. We asked for extra blankets because of the lack of heat, they took 2 hours to bring them, so I had to go open doors in the building to find blankets and pillows on my own. How can a hotel claim to be a 4 star hotel if they don’t have the first star of a 24 hour front desk? There is a serious safety issue here. I love the area, and the room and breakfast staff are super. The new management has serious issues. Without hot water, a hot tub or heat.. we could have stayed in a much nicer place for the same amount of money. We will not be going back.
