Bathroom window does not lock, the tv has no service. The door was wide open when we arrived. The rooms have not been updated for a very long time. There is no way to adjust the heat. We only stayed a short overnight, sure glad it was not any longer. Very odd wall decorations

You get what you pay for, especially in NYC
It was a tiny room & not very comfortable but for a brief overnight stay it was fine as a place to sleep.

You Get What You Pay For
NO ELEVATOR. Notification of this is buried in the "Policies." It is not up front in the description of the hotel. However, the staff is willing to help you carry your bags up to 4 floors up. The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures posted here. I spent the beginning of the night smelling pot smoke in my room. The bathroom was so tiny you can't even stand in front of the sink. My room had a window a/c that didn't work at all. The location is very noisy, not the fault of the hotel, but buyer beware. The hotel offers ear plugs, which, surprisingly, they worked well to drown out the noise. Despite the sketchy noisy location, and having to lug my stuff up 3 floors, the bed was comfortable, the ear plugs worked surprisingly well, and I got good sleep there. Might use again in a pinch, but at least next time I will know what I'm getting into.

Kind of fine; kind of yikes
No one answers the phone even when they are there. Cannot check in early which was fine but storing the luggage in the open lobby, which was then unattended at times was not good. Though I couldn't check in, I also wasn't given a door code to get in later on/there was not someone visible at the desk later at night. I thought I was going to have to call the police but someone came out of a side room after calling and knocking repeatedly. Heat did not work. Towels should be replaced. They warn you about noise online and provide earplugs at the desk; they are not kidding about the noise level. No elevator; not a problem for me but could be for others.

Not too much, not too little, but just right...
Traveling with a friend for a long weekend. It was safe, clean, comfortable, affordable (in NYC terms) and in a great location. It's not fancy but it's exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE
I travel a lot and was looking for a hotel at a good rate. I was stuck between this hotel and another one. I should have known when I walked in that it was a very bad idea. For $80 more I could have stayed somewhere that felt safe. We checked in and the man told us what he didn’t have a room for us but then “pulled some strings” and gave us the room he was going to sleep in. I’ll repeat that, he gave us the room HE was going to sleep in. We got to the room and the floor was extremely sticky. They clearly did not clean the room at all and the floors were still dirty. The bathroom had no amenities and the toilet was still dirty. They gave us a room with two beds which was fine but I came to realize why once we went to bed. We did not spend much time in the room because it felt very unsafe. When the time came to go back to the room and sleep things got scary. First we noticed the sliding chain lock was install upside down so it did not lock correctly. This felt very unsafe. We rolled back the sheets to discover that one of the beds had dirty sheets and the other had blood on the comforter. Overall this was a very bad experience. Also make sure to note the number of travelers you’re coming with. If you are a couple THEY WILL charge you an additional $50 for a second person.

No frills, but great for the price
The hotel is near the train station, honestly not the best neighborhood, but it’s convenient to transportation, and the hotel security made me feel very safe. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff was very helpful.

This room was perfect to have a place to rest our heads after a concert. The property staff were very friendly. I loved the emphasis on security. The room and bed was clean.

Needs improvement.
Room was small and quaint, but wasn't needed to be too big for just myself. The bed mattress needs to be replaced its busted and sags on the edge, the headboard fabric had a huge tear in it like there was a knife fight or something. The noise from the street was the worst part, the room was facing the street, the constant honking and people yelling kept me up most of the night. It half-way served its purpose for having a semi-comfortable place to lay my head for a night.

I only bought the room for the night, since I was only in town for David Gilmour. I purchased the room based on price and reviews saying it was clean. Upon returning to the room from the show, after not touching the bed all day, I noticed it was dirty. I asked for clean sheets and the sheets I was given had what appeared to be coffee stains on them. I didn’t even feel comfortable showering I just wanted to sleep and check out as fast as possible. Staff was friendly but overall would not stay here again. Would much rather spend more to sleep comfortably and clean.

Cheap in all aspects
Very cheap but barely got what I paid for. Tiny noisy room. Bathroom in a matchbox. AC barely worked. No working elevator and I’m handicapped. Bedding looked very dingy. I got (barely) what I paid for.

Good enough to crush for the night. Clean. Room is tiny, so is the bathroom, the tiniest sink I ever saw. No air conditioner (there is one, but not working), no elevator. The area is pretty dirty and noisy. But the location is extremely convenient to everything - a short walk to Penn St. Overall, acceptable if you are budget minded and not finicky.
