Short Stay
We booked through your website and was disappointed to find out that we could of paid less going direct to the Abbey in Barrow. My Wife unfortunately has intolerance to several items but for some reason the breakfast staff couldn't understand. This worries me if she have had allergies.

My only criticism of the room was the hanging space in the open closet which was minuscule for long dresses, trousers and coats and also had an ironing board in it making it an even smaller space. Everything else in the hotel was marvellous.

1) Noise: We stayed in a beautiful suite overlooking the gardens. While the suite was clean, there was a wedding downstairs and the noise from the live band was deafening. We couldn’t sleep until it stopped at midnight. They shouldn’t let out a room directly over a live band. 2) Dirty: the morning of our checkout, we walked out the front of the property to our car and there was vomit outside the front door areas. Great restaurant and beautiful property. Believe they just need some fine tuning with these couple of things

We had a wonderful one night stay- staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. As there was a function with a band we were offered an alternative room on arrival in a quieter spot, which we accepted and were very happy with the quiet and cosy room. Room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. A morning walk around the grounds added to the peaceful and relaxing experience, with beautiful wooded paths and lawns. Would recommend.
