Great location, great host with great price.
Excellent and safe location. Will definitely come back. Very lively neighborhood, with great restaurant choices for all kinds and all budgets. The rooms are located within the courtyard of a building, with a gate, which makes it very quiet and safe. Couple minutes of walking distance to the Metro and Tram stations. Short walk to Duomo and the local attractions. Our host Giulia was fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. He gave us great recommendations on local attractions and restaurant choices and provided us with a map that shows all local transit options, which was very helpful.

We had such a wonderful stay at La Locanda. Not only were the rooms and beds incredibly comfortable, but we also were given wonderful recommendations from our host for breakfast, travel, and general activities. Great location and nice owner. There are many good dining options near the hotel as well as shopping. The nice thing is that it is away from the tourist area yet a 25 min walk to Duomo. If you are a light sleeper this property might not be the best as you can hear a lot of street noise and garbage and recycling in the morning. Good price.

I can’t say enough about how warm and helpful the host Giulio is. Communication was great, he is just the most charming, helpful host that I have personally encountered. The room was good-sized, had air conditioning and was quiet. The facility feels like an old convent with artwork adorning the walls and tables. It was a fairly short cab ride from the train station to the location.

Funky in a lively neighborhood
This property is super - IF you like funky and different. If you are expecting chain hotel kind of luxury, look elsewhere. Nice to have a human for check in and to find a hairdryer for me. The stay was too short stay; I’d do it again! It was a gorgeous spring day so the entire neighborhood was crowding the cafes. Lovely to dine among regulars, with fewer tourists.
