The location was fantastic and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, there was significant construction on all levels of the hotel: painting and stacks of boxes in the main entrance, hanging plastic sheets that prevented us from using the stairs which felt like a fire hazard, extremely loud hammering beginning around 7:30am in the morning, unfinished rooftop bar area, miscellaneous equipment scattered on all levels of the hotel. This didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay in CDMX, but it was a bummer that they never informed us of the extent of the construction, even when we were checking in. We learned we couldn't take the stairs simply by trying and running into walls of plastic. They told us they hope to finish construction in May, which seems like a stretch considering the extent of the renovations, but the owner should seriously consider closing temporarily, dramatically reducing the pricing, or at the very least being up front with guests.
