This hotel served the best breakfast of all the 7 hotels and bnbs we stayed at this trip to France. The price was very reasonable for the quality and variety of the home made food. We nearly had a croisant every day of our entire 3 weeks and this hotel had the best! We loved the location, right in town, yet quiet. We could open our large window and get lots of fresh air. The room is small but adequate. The only thing I would mention would be to make the two chairs around small table in room be more comfortable. This was true of every place we stayed that there were not very comfortabble chairs to sit in. The outside area was very charming, but due to weather and other activities we did not use. Thomas speaks English and was very helpful. This is no reflection on the hotel, but perhaps later in June would be a better time to visit, as many of the restaurants and stores were closed. However, the plus is that it not crowded with tourist. Even the spa was closed, which was a disappointment. Yet, we enjoyed our hikes (bring rain gear) and our stay and Cauteretts and this hotel remain one of the few places we would repeat!
