Stayed here on two legs of the same trip. Would have canceled the second stay if I could have booked an alternative on short notice.
1. Rooms are filthy. I could get over a general level of dirt and grime, but I can't get over dirty bedding, which appeared to have never been laundered.
2. Shockingly poor state of repair for a supposedly "recently renovated" hotel. In addition to holes in walls, crumbling grout, etc., on our first stay, the bathroom sink was broken, draining directly onto the bathroom floor, which leads to:
3. Totally indifferent staff. When we approached them with the bathroom problem, they refused to put us in a new room/fix the sink/adjust the bill, or make any accommodation whatsoever. Wow, hospitality! This is just one example of several I'd detail if I had the space.
4. Attempted to make us pay for the room in the middle of our stay so we wouldn't annoy them with our early checkout time -- a "broken" credit card machine was the only thing stopping that. Oh yes, and we wound up having to pay cash anyway because, in the intervening 12 hours between the "you pay now" incident and our actual checkout, they hadn't bothered to try fixing the credit card machine.
I've stayed in 1 and 2-star budget hotels all over the world, so I don't think I'm making an unfair comparison when I say this is one is bad. For $60/night, I certainly expect much better. This stay was worth . . . maybe $25.
