After booking this LOW Quality Suites, I contacted the hotel regarding airport pick up and late check out. The response was cold and negative. At check in, they made sure they would immediately charge me for the late check. Collection of payment was priority over providing sevice. I was assigned to 14th floor room facing a 8-10 lane avenue with high traffic 24/7. No windows had any double glazing or noise insulation. I couldn't sleep. At 11pm I went to reception and nicely in Portuguese asked if there was a chance to switch to a quite room. I meet with cold and unfriendly faces of staff. One said, he would look into it, then left. I asked the other staff (I am a foreigner but speak intermediate Portuguese and always make the effort). I didn't understand his response, so I asked him kindly to repeat. His "customer friendly" reaction was to raise his voice, like I was retarted (not obvioulsy a foreigner) telling me it is wasn't possible to change the room. I thanked him calmly and return to my room to put in my earplugs.
Room is maintained clean, but show their age. On wall in the bedroom there was black mold.
At check out, AFTER settling the bill, while waiting for my taxi, the receptionist told me, her colleague made a mistake and forgot to charge me 3 more reais ($1) so before I leave I should settle it. When I told her, this is not very customer friendly, she said if I don't pay it, she will have to do pay it out of pocket.
I will never stay again at this property.
