Going downhill
We have stayed at this hotel 4 times on the past 6 years. With new owners now it definately has gone down hill. There used to be a drying room for all your wet ski gear, but that is closed up now. The sauna broke down so instead of fixing it they closed that up! The breakfast used to be excellent now it is just a standard continental with cereal, toast, boiled eggs, mufgins and waffles....no more hot foods. It seems like the general cleanliness of the hotel overall is going downhill. We also ate supper at the restaurant and that was a mistake. Very over priced and the food was not great. Steaks were not cooked right and we received the wrong foods. And it took forever to receive our food. Would not suggest eating there

Not the cleanest
It was dirty. Jacuzzi tub had hair in it and the wall had brown streaks on the wall, visible from the loft. Told them and they switched us rooms. That room's Jacuzzi was full of hair and had a dirty ring around the tub. They had someone come in and clean it. Well when they were done, I told them the ring is still there and I used their cleaning cloth to scrub and showed them how to get it off. Once it was OK, they left. Then we noticed fruit flies in the room, we could not find the source but we mangaged to get rid of most. Before we used the tub we went and got aome cleaner to run through a cleaning cycle. Cleaning standard is very low. Bed was comfortable.

Good hotel at a nice location just on the main street and ample parking space. Hotel also overlooks the Elk River flowing at the back. The main attraction of the hotel is pool and a water slide which kids & adults can enjoy. The complimentary breakfast includes ample options in food and beverages. The restaurant is also good & serves Indian food which was well prepared. The exhaust in our washroom (room 216) didn't work, apart from that it was a nice pleasant one night's stay.
