Comfortable Stay with Prime Location
We recently stayed in a deluxe room with city views at this hotel, and overall, it was a positive experience. Check-in was smooth and efficient. Although our first room had a less-than-ideal view (just a wall), a quick request to the front desk led to an upgrade to a corner room with nice street views.
The location is fantastic—it is very close to lines 2 and 14 on the metro, a short walk to the Bund, and right on the doorstep of the Yu Garden Marketplace, making it easy to explore some of Shanghai's key attractions.
The hotel itself is nice but currently undergoing room renovations, so expect some change around the property. It also accommodates long-term residents, which is quite common in China, so it has a bit of a local feel to it.
One drawback is the lack of breakfast options on-site, though you can order food delivery, which is delivered right to your door by a robot! I enjoyed the nearby choices for breakfast, including local Family Marts and 7-Elevens, which had everything I needed for a quick start to the day.
