If you are above working there, dont.
The hotel was well designed and the room was great. I live between LA and NY and use to a bit of "exclusivity" from the staff. The attitude at check in, the restaurant and bar were were just rude. There were a series rules that no one made me aware of and were quickly let know when we didn't know them. Eye contact from the staff was non- existent. Denver is great and so are its people. Maybe someone should remind the management of that.

8/10 Very Good

Cool new downtown hotel
We just did a short overnight stay to attend an evening at Christkindl Market. The hotel is brand new so very clean and all staff eager to please. The exterior is designed to look like an aspen tree and has beautiful nature esthetics in the interior design also. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean, but be aware that the room size is quite small (common for downtown) and the lighting around the vanity area lighting is dim - difficult for dealing with contact lenses and doing hair/makeup before going out. Overall, would recommend as a new and different place to stay in Denver.

Perfection in Denver
Populus is a Must stay and eat!! Every detail from the room to the restaurant is perfect. The view from the room overlooking City Center was crazy the design is an Aspen tree. Every detail in the room was 💯! This is a must either just a dinner or a stay.

10/10 Exceptional

Very novel eco-friendly hotel.
Brand new hotel so pretty clean, nice staff, and a very original design inside and out. I'd say it's the most interesting looking building on the Denver skyline. I primarily chose it for it's eco-friendly claims since I try to travel that way - I took Amtrak to Denver and the hotel is about a mile from Union Station. You can take the free Mall Ride busses to it. The coffee bar in the lobby is nice, all house-made stuff, same price as Starbucks. The two restaurants were a bit fancy for me and I didn't try them. There's a fitness center on the second floor. Note the front doors are on the side of the building by the valet instead of on a corner so they aren't obvious. They're "wave to open" using a sensor there which also isn't really apparent. You could find bigger rooms for cheaper in Denver but I didn't see anything quite as interesting and (hopefully) low-impact as this place. Overall I like it and plan to go back.
