Small but full of character, a nice, homely, popular country pub with decent rooms. Food much better here than many similar places, excellent home made pies! Good veggie breakfast.
Excellent ,friendly service, great food and best value for money around.
Very friendly staff that accommodated our request for late check-in and also ensured we got a delicious dinner meal a little later than usual. Overall, a pleasant experience.
Only stayed one night but very nice place! Lovely old building but room felt modern and was very clean. Didn't have the breakfast but staff were very kind and was even offered a packed lunch to take with me!
Lovely quiet place With lovely friendly staff and fabulous food at a very reasonable price Thank you Margaret and all the staff You were all lovely Especially under the current COVID situation The one way system works brilliant
Lovely old building, full of character but desperate for a deep clean and new furniture. Staff are wonderful
Loved it so quirky and different very comfortable
It is a great little country pub. They brew their own beer. The food is great. A good base to explore the local area from. The rooms are basic. Old plumbing and low water pressure. The walls are also a bit thin, being ear plugs just in case!
Problem with the heating was very cold, loads of cobwebs above bed behind beams, could see them blowing. Beding clean but old, the carpets were hoovered but need a wash, the food is excellent as is the staff, very friendly , wouldn't stay there again, as disabled, too many steps, but would go back for a meal, good selection of ales .
The Queen's is a typical village pub with excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. Don't be put off by the current bridge closure at Pooley Bridge, it really is worth the effort to get there. Although the accommodation would benefit from a refurb , particularly the carpet we had a comfortable stay.
