F1 Calais
Wasn’t amazing wasn’t bad either , the room was okay , no kettle or anything in the room The coffee machine at the entrance gave us black coffee even though we pressed white The breakfast was average , choice of 2 cereal toast , pastries and coffee I did like it was secure and the car park had electric gates which closed at 9pm you used a code on your booking to operate the gate after 9pm Area was nice and quiet and not too far from shops etc I do not think we would stay here again but it was cheap and cheerful , staff were pleasant enough

A good stopover
A good hotel I have stayed in many times. Only spoilt by the loud annoying guests arriving at 01:00 and without enough brain cells to realise that their behaviour is unacceptable late at night.

The boiler room was open! That was dangerous! The man man at the reception was rude! The room was good! Sadly we have to share toilets and showers

Stop over hotel for channel crossing.
Its a F1 Hotel which is perfect for le shuttle. Restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. Perfect for the over night stop. Rooms are basic with no toilets or showers. Communal toilets and showers on each floor. Perfect for arrival in France or travelling to the UK. Parking areas are locked up at night.

Check in was the worst experience ever, we had 3 rooms booked, when we turned up to hotel we could not access entey due to booking number wasn't registered, we arrived just after midnight and had to stand outside in the cold until we eventually got help to get in, really not good

Perfectly acceptable budget hotel
Perfectly acceptable budget hotel. Toilets and showers are shared. Rooms are small... but price is good. There are some drink and snack vending machines in reception, and dining and shopping options nearby. Parking is secure.

4/10 Fair

Cheap but not cheerful!
I'd say you get what you pay for, but we stayed in a Premiere Inn in Dover on the way out for the same price, and the differences were vast. The beds were clean, but the whole hotel had a very overwhelming, unpleasant smell and the sink smelt every time the tap was run, giving the impression that the hotel was unclean. Staff were helpful. Suffice to say, we wouldn't stay again.

Squid Game Hotel Shared Facility
The Pictures were different from the property we stayed in. There is no warning that the TOILETS & SHOWERS were SHARED FACILITIES and NOT in the room. No Towels or Toilet papers. Room were not cleaned as there were coffee stains on the radiator hair in the sink. Not much VENTILATION as it had a strong smell in the property. Had to leave immediately after arrival to find an alternative Hotel. Felt like I was in a Squid Game!!!

Nothing but a (short) bed. Barely a hotel.
The service was great but it was not at all what I’ve come to expect from a hotel. I am well traveled and live in hotels for about half the year. But these beds were so short. I’m not tall (5’11”, 181cm) and from my knees down we’re off the beds. Only towel was a dish rag. Pillow was tiny like in an airplane. No shower or toilet in the room. No fan or air conditioning. No ventilation. Only window as either fully closed or massive open to the street with no bars or protection. Never has the adage “you get what you paid for” applied more. You get nothing but a (short) place to lay down and that’s it. No soap. No toilet paper. No towel.
Abraham, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The gentleman at the reception was so friendly and helpful. However, I had no idea about the hotel's concept that No bath or toilet in the rooms, even No towel, even No soap in the shared toilets! The reception closes at night and I was terrified to go out for the WC till the morning as a group of people were chatting and passing from time to time in the night! Also the hotel is not 10 minutes from the ferry or terminal as advertised, so I took a taxi. The concept is not for me, never again.

Yak!
Floor was so dirty I told my girls to not leave their shoes unless they were in their bed. I didn’t want to check the bedding …. The bedroom window was closed when we came in so bedroom was boiling hot, no air cond. The sink was dirty and nowhere to put stuff around it

Comfy but scary
Firstly I let the hotel know about the delay in getting to hotel, after 9pm, they sent a code to me and my room number. A guest at the hotel helped me get in, code wasn't being accepted, this may have been my fault, then he proceeds to stalk me and knock on my door "to talk" I explained I was driving to Spain and need my sleep but he persisted on knocking on the door, this went on til well after 3am!!!!! I certainly did not feel safe after that. Lone females should not stay here

Getting in to the hotel is a painful process.
The check-in process was very difficult. When I arrived, the vehicle gate was closed and would only open when presented with a unique code which was supposed to be delivered by email, but it wasn’t. After leaving my car in front of the gate (nowhere else to park) I had to walk up to reception only to find the door was locked. The intercom next to the door eventually connected me to a call centre which told me they couldn’t reach the hotel manager. The ATM adjacent to the door was supposed to give me my code based on a booking reference, which for whatever reason hadn’t been emailed to me. Eventually I was able to get everything sorted after about 20 minutes but not what I expected after a long drive. The room was comfortable enough for one night but very compact. The towels in the bathroom were very small - more like large face cloths. Overall, it’s ok if you just need somewhere to stay for a single night but certainly not something to get excited about.
