4/10 Fair

The room was good, clean and just what we expected. When we arrived, mid afternoon, we were told that the pub was closing for a couple of hours. The restaurant side wasnt serving food either! We managed to book food at a pub about a mile away. So insted of just spending the afternoon and evening in one place we had to go to another pub to eat and drink. The pub and restaurant looked good of what we saw, so was a bit baffling why it wasnt opened. If we knew that before hand we wouldnt have booked to stay there. Very disappointed that we were not notified of this. It wasn't on the site we booked from.

This is a nice little country pub in a village. We had a very small room but that was because I requested a room with shower only (ie not over a bathtub) The room was compact, but clean and comfortable. A mirror in a different place (not behind tv) would have been helpful for using the hairdryer! Breakfast was freshly cooked but early (7am - 8am) a bit too early for us, so we had to sit around for an hour or so before leaving, and we’re still too early for our appointment later. They say they don’t serve meals on Mondays and Tuesdays so we ate elsewhere before arriving, but Nigel said they do cook for B&B guests.

Fair Digs
Room v small (comfort double) but fine for single traveller. Breakfast was really nice, served up by a good front of house host. A bit of a remote location and pub closes at 930pm.

Excellent Village Pub
Lovely and quiet friendly village pub Very clean but would have liked a chair in the room to sit on although in all fairness there probably wouldn’t have been enough room for one Will definitely stay again if I am in the area Unfortunately did not have breakfast as I had to leave early but based on everything else I am sure it would have been excellent Highly recommend this place

Mr Potts
Lovely friendly hotel / pub / restaurant. Lovely comfortable room, lovely breakfast free parking would not hesitate in rebooking. Definitely a safe bet. Only negative comment both extractor fan and kettle (inside) need a clean did not want to mention in person. Just making a comment for the owners however a lovely stay overall.

comfortable room and nice service but disappointing menu which we thought expensive for the area, and wifi service is not possible. also disappointing about late check in and early check out times with breakfast served latest at 9 on a Sunday.

Friendly pub stay
Friendly bar staff and good atmosphere in bar/restaurant. Food was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean, small but comfortable. Power shower gave good pressure.

Cosy pub with a decent breakfast
Service was very good, I was welcomed by the owner and made to feel welcome. I was shown to my room and given info on the heating, breakfast times etc. Breakfast was served by a polite and pleasant lady, the breakfast itself was very nice (I opted for the traditional English). Plenty of parking available. The room itself was comfortable. Bathroom functional although if I was being overly critical I would say it could benefit from a bit of an update. Only stayed for one night but they left a good enough impression for me to write a review. A*

Check in: good. Room: small but clean with comfy bed and a great shower, perfect for single traveller. Food: had the pork belly recommended by the Barman, proved to be tasty. Breakfast was personal choice, I went for the full English and very nice. Staff were all friendly and helpful, the locals were also friendly and welcoming. Only issue was the temperature in the bar, need to get the log burner going please.
