2/10 Poor

Faulty Post office Towers?
Booked a triple room, was told i can have a double, or pay more for tripple. Toilet wobbles, not fixed to the wall properly. Mattress cheap and hard. Floor not mopped properly. Bathroom not tiled and finished properly. Cold. A maze to find the rooms in dark unwelcoming corridors. Just spend an extra 20 quid get a chain hotel.

Great location with a friendly northern welcome. Bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The whole place could do with a deep clean, refurb and a refresh. Out of hours entry was via back of the pub and wasn't very well lit. Toilet and shower were on the floor below. The small bolt on the toilet door didn't really work. Locks on rooms were Yale locks, which felt a bit inadequate. I'd recommend a stay here if you're going to a gig with a bunch of mates. However. I wouldn't really recommend for a female solo traveller or for longer stays.

Good hotel great staff. Only minus is after hours entry to your room. You need a key to get in then a code to get to the rooms why not just use the key or have one door, hard to remember a code when streaming lol

Extremely dirty. Very basic furnishing and well over priced for such a poor standard of room. Would not recommend.

Such a cute little hotel with lots of history! we were welcomed by Jacqui with a huge smile and she checked us in early and had a great conversation with her as we had a beer, made us feel instantly at home! everything was clean and tidy the room was spacious and bed was very comfortable! It was just across the road from the piece hall and town and so easy to get to! we would definitely stay here again! Again, can't thank Jacqui enough for her hospitality and kindness! :)

Affordable basic accommodation in the centre of Halifax. The room was clean the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The staff were really friendly, funny and accommodating. If we are going to another gig at the peice hall we'll be booking here again.
