Comfortable but check in procedure needs review
Pros: location, bed and pillows were comfortable, furniture wasnt tired, tea making facilities and shower was good. Reception was very friendly. Cons: room was small. Very minor: No rack in shower to put soap and shampoo. Big con: check in procedure is to copy all credit card details onto check in form with your address etc. This compromises your credit card. So in my room i immediately cancelled my credit card and now await a new one. Big

The hotel room's bathroom was very compact. The sink was tiny and made brishing teeth very difficult. Also the toilwt roll holder could not hold the toilet roll whilst aomeone was sat on the toilet. Some small hairs were discovered both on the bathroom floor and in the sink. The sliding door to the bathroom did not ahut properly, but did not prove a problem for us as we were mother and duaghter, but may not have been ideal for anyone who was not family staying. The beds were, however, very comfortable and the shower very good (pnce you found somewhere to put your towel!).

Good Location
It’s a decent place to sleep at night while staying in central London. It’s nice and clean and the staff is friendly. Central location as everything is within walking distance and close to Paddington station and Edgeware Road! Loads of dining options near by! But don’t expect too much from the place itself as it’s not that spacious! We had our room on 4th floor and the stairs were narrow and there is no lift. We booked double bed, but in our room 2 single beds were joined together with 2 single mattresses! Not the most comfortable feeling when sleeping as the mattresses keep shifting and you find yourself in between 2 mattresses! Shower pressure was okay, not ideal but we survived! Overall not bad! Would recommend anyone staying in central London for few nights!!

Our stay was okay. We arrived early in the morning, and they accommodated us, which was appreciated. However, there was no TV remote in the room. We asked for one, but they insisted it should already be there. We double-checked, but there was no remote. We ended up staying for 3 nights without a working TV.

Winter Wonderland Stay
We booked a last minute overnight stay. Two of us in a room for 5. Very clean with everything we could have needed - fridge, kettle, microwave, hairdryer, great shower, TV etc. Beds were a bit hard but I think that’s personal preference as I like a soft mattress but room was very clean and well decorated. Would definitely stay again. Five minute walk from Paddington Station with shops and restaurants nearby. Close to Hyde Park - we stayed for Winter Wonderland. We couldn’t check in until 4 but were able to drop our bags off earlier in the day. Easy check in.

Great budget hotel near Paddington
Great budget hotel near Paddington. Second time I've stayed here. This trip I had a triple room. Nice a spacious. It was very cold week in London but the room was lovely and warm heating worked really well and windows were not drafty like many other hotels in the area. Would highly recommend.

Overall, location of Linden hotel felt like what you are paying for. The area of Paddington was lovely- lots of restaurants around, parks nearby, walkable to Kensington Gardens, 5 minute walk to Paddington Station. It was our first stay in London so I’m not sure if all hotels are like this- but Lindon House is a very old building and there is NO LIFT. My friend and I were placed on the very top floor (approx. 6 flights, 77 steps). We weren’t offered any kind of assistance bringing our luggage up and the staircase was super narrow and winding so keep that all in mind when booking. Also no refrigerator (again this might be common in London hotels, I’m not sure). The room felt like a dorm room in an attic but I guess this is what a 3-star hotel gets you in the city…
