Fair for the price
Not exactly the Ritz, but then it was pretty cheap.
An hour to Lille on the train, so pretty good.

Good for a night of sleep
As a family the stay wasnt bad but the shower was excellent, if you're planning just on sleeping and leaving early morning then it's perfect for that.

You get what you pay for
The check in was fine and staff was friendly but room smelt either of stale smoke or just un-aired. Bed was a little hard. Nothing much around the area to eat without driving off. Appreciate that it is a budget hotel but thought it would be a little better

The place is just worn out if you may.....in bad need of a complete restoration ..as an example b room door had hole partially punched thru it and as all puckered up from water damage. No air conditioning and was hot. And the breakfast was very very minimal no cereal old bread, etc. the worse hotel in this chain have stayed in..am in best one now..a world of difference.

Roadside (m)hotel
Is good just to spend the night I will compare it to the equivalent of a road motel in the U.S.A. It does the job to spend a cheap night there prior to heading to Brussels or Bruges, Paris etc... Rooms are European sized but have everything you need.parking is free, don't believe the app. And the will charge you almost 3 Euros in cash per room per night on the spot for some local tax.

Latest of many stays, and the first to disappoint
I have used this hotel numerous times in the past. It is a typical Premiere Classe, with no frills. I use it for it's location more than anything the hotel has to offer in itself, it's handy for me to stay at in this part of France.
Unfortunately this particular stay was marred slightly by the receptionist's refusal to acknowledge my pre-payment of the room and I had to pay again in person in order to stay. I will stay here again, but I'll make sure that I choose the option to pay on arrival rather than in advance to prevent this happening again.

Cheap but don't expect much
Tiny rooms, but I'm guessing the price is very attractive. No English spoken whatsoever by the receptionist.

Very basic
Hotel clean enough, very basic only 1 plug socket, cigarette burns on quilts, toilet tiny jus a wet room, hotel staff don't talk English! Ok for a quick stay if passing or a base as we used it for the battlefields, all door rooms are outside so doesn't seem very secure thou there are cameras.

Basic hotel, basic price.
If you take in to consideration it is a budget Hotel, then it passes muster. However, the walls are paper thin and as a result road noise and neighbour noise can be excessive. I stopped on a sunday and the next door restaurant was closed and there is nothing else local so you need to drive and for quite some distance to find eating establishment. Breakfast is 1/4 of a baguette, a croissant, orange juice in a paper cup and a coffee.

good location for our trip
Typical "Motel" type accomodation. Pleasant staff. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner especially the WC.

Ideal for touring the battlefields
I wanted a cheap and cheerful hotel and I got it here. At under £20 per night I'd have a cheek to complain about anything, but in truth there was nothing to complain about.
If I had to whine about anything it would be the lack of a kettle in the rooms, but I knew about this from other reviews and took my own. Sorted!
The staff were excellent, helpful and took great pains to ensure I understood all they explained.
You wouldn't want to pay a lot to stay here but at under £20 a night, for a clean comfy bed, your own toilet and shower you really can't go wrong here.

Stop over only not recommended for holiday.
For a "No Smoking Hotel" there had obviously been smokers in the room - cigarette smoke in the air and burns on the vanity unit. No restaurant facilities at partner hotel Campanille.
Staff slow to re-stock breakfast bar in morning despite hotel not being overly busy.

Served the purpose
Room smelt of stale smoke and there was no soap in the shower area (luckily I had my own!). Receptionist friendly and helpful despite language barrier. Good restaurant next door and got 15% off for being a guest.

Ideal for what we needed
I booked this hotel for my husband and eldest stepdaughter as she is going to be working at a school in Douai as part of her university degree. Although the hotel was basic it was just what was needed as it was very good value and close to the town centre, supermarkets and restaurants. Will book it again if needed.
