4/10 Fair

We were really saddened by the cleanliness and condition of this hotel. We had various linens with dark red stains. When we asked for new ones (specifically the comforter) we were told they had no others and we were left without a blanket. The shower door was broken and hard to use. The tv worked only half the time. There was the sound of constant pouring water outside of a mysterious bolted door in our room. It was not great.

2/10 Poor

This place was grubby, carpets up the stairs need replacing, I had a very unfriendly greeting when I arrived to check in. Room was tiny and whenever next door flushed the loo we were woken up it was so loud. Dreadful experience. Smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. Unfriendly staff.

Room was extremely small for a ‘deluxe’ but it was very clean and in a decent part of the city. Shower head was faulty.

LG1 room will test your wits!
So finding this hotel, I thought great location and looks pretty clean and modern. On arrival though, the decor has seen better days and the hotel is looking a little jaded, like it needs to go for its own spa weekend. After being handed the key to what seemed like the inner belly of the building, I made my way downstairs to find a room with no window, the single bed was expected, but the lack of window made an already small room, feel smaller. The stained carpet next to the bed and wrong way round temperature gauge on the taps gave me a nice scolding. The shower is totally broken and rather than a rain shower, it's more like a pipe that spits water everywhere except for on your body, which was interesting to say the least, when trying to wash out conditioner (you ladies feel my pain I'm sure). Then after what was a really long work day I returned to the hotel at around midnight, looking forward to sinking into bed and going to sleep, but the room had other ideas! Having the hotels waste pipe through my room I was provided with a various water sounds, not of the soothing kind throughout the rest the night, coupled with the subway, which, yes goes as Lionel Richie would say goes all night long.... Terrible room, and even worse, I left my phone on the reception desk during booking, after realising a few minutes later, I returned to the desk to find my phone still open! (The reception clark had been snooping on it as I retrieved my booking and forgot to lock it)

Booked a stay for 3 people in March 2024. The room was very clean but TINY. We had to open our suitcases on the beds because there wasn’t enough space anywhere else to open the luggage. The balcony door was broken and open when we arrived so it was very cold inside. Staff is friendly and available 24/7 which is nice. Washroom is also tiny but clean. Overall it was a good experience as it’s located in a very convenient spot however this is a 2 star stay at best, not really 4 star as advertised.

Unfortunately not a great experience. We were initially put in a basement room which had a door to outside with only a slide lock. Felt unsafe and dank. Moved to another room. Hotel is old and not so well kept up. Rooms very small which is ok except for the price and condition of hotel. Hotel staff seemed a bit disinterested. For this price there are better options in London.

Great location, minutes from bayswater and queensway stations, close to Hyde park and Kensington palace. Building is old and there's no elevator, room is quite small. I booked this hotel because they had a room with 2 single and 1 queen bed, whcih was perfect for our family of 4. We were mostly out exploring london and stayed at hotel only for sleep, so it was okay. If you're looking for a hotel with a lot of amenities, maybe this is not for you, but if you are looking for a place to sleep with great location, this one could work.
