All the staff were very friendly and welcoming! The hotel was only a few minutes walk to the beach and there were a variety of modest dining options on the beach or near the town square. The hotel had a food service and weekend bar service. We really enjoyed the pool area and spent some relaxing by the pool. We were picked up at the hotel to go on a fabulous guided canoe tour through the mangroves where we saw a large variety of birds including flamingos! The hotel staff helped us with the motel taxi transport to the tour site. Make sure you book a room with a window view. Thanks again to all the staff at this wonderful hotel. This is a wonderful hotel! The entire facility is beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, and staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location - right near the beach and a short walk to downtown. We have stayed here twice and plan to do so again next year!

Room facilities and staff were good. Excellent location. If u are a light sleeper be aware of the barking dogs and roosters next door at a residence. Non stop all night, and all rooms are subject to the noise.

Great location! Within walking distance from the beach and local stores. Hotel has all necessary amenities including hot water and AC. We only staid one night but loved this hotel more than the one in Tulum which didn't have hot water and the power kept cutting off. For a small town, you can't go wrong with Don Gonzalo!
