Lovely building
Lovely building. Reasonable price. Room a little on the warm side, but an opened window soon rectified that. Will definitely stay again and recommend to colleagues

Disappointing
The staff were very helpful at the hotel, very polite. Helped us with recommending somewhere to eat as we were half an hour too early to check In.
Sadly the room which was meant to be executive felt very tired and worn. Under the bed it was really dirty and hadn’t been hoovered for months by the build up of dust.
The water was only tepid in the shower in the morning. Overall very disappointed after the money that we spent.

Comfortable but a bit noisy
Single night stay on a longer journey.
Check in was easy and the room was clean and pleasant with good facilities and bathroom.
The floor was quite creaky and there was a fair amount of noise from other guests moving around, so not the most peaceful, but I was tired so slept well regardless.
Bed was comfy, shower was hot. I didn't have breakfast. If I had arrived in daylight I would have liked to explore the grounds more, as it is a very picturesque setting

Great staff but poor cleanliness and midges
While the staff were excellent and the building looked amazing, the bedrooms need refreshing and a good clean.
Worst part was the midges / mosquitos that were prevalent both inside and outside the hotel. Multiple bites that we be reminding us of our stay for days

To the manor born
My second stay here. Check in wasceasy and room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was good and therecwas small area to work. Dinner menu in the bar is a little limited but food was ok. Good nights sleep followed by the option of a fine looking breakfast. Check out was quick. Will use this hotel again when in the area. It is much nice and better value than the chain hotel i used to use when staying around here.
