The apartment at les Rivages du Parc, Menton, is conveniently located near the center of town, and just a few minutes walking from the beach. The family apartment was small, but to maximize space use, everything needed was available. The apartment was clean but clearly needed some refurbishing. The TV tuner was on and off so we basically did not enjoy much TV, and the technical staff was not available on a daily basis. The place is great for overnight stays when the focus of the visit is to be outside most of the time. In case you need to prepare meals, the basic utensils are available. However, there is no vacuum cleaner and you need to buy your own paper towels and toilet rolls. There is a laundry machine and dryer in the basement, 5EUR/time. Parking (not free) is available but prepare to bring a small car as the spaces are typically small in France, and one has to be an excellent driver to avoid scratches to the car. The room was excellent in terms of darkness during daytime as the shutters made it completely dark, and we could enjoy long hours of sleep, if the neighbors did not drill or banked on the walls in the early morning hours. Also, a good A/C was available. A bus stop Menton-Nice airport was just in the front street. In summary, the place is reasonable for the price level of the area and if the main goal of the trip is to be outdoors, but there are so few amenities within the building that it recommended mostly for short overnight stays.
