Hotel not available
The Hotel is being used for Ukrainian refugees, Hotels.com did not notify me so when I arrived to check in, there was no accommodation available for me at that hotel, the staff was very good and helpful and gave me a name of another hotel to check into, so as this hotel isn’t being used at the moment for holiday makes, it should be taken off the list at this present time.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. Comfy bed and clean bathroom. Coffee cups in the room were dirty! Breakfast was very basic. Instant coffee only, no fresh fruit or veg, fried breakfast to order and it took very long wait. Brilliant location just across the road from station however it was very noisy at night with street noice and noice from pub downstairs

Pleasant hotel, friendly helpful staff. Clean room adequate for stay over. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice with cooked breakfast if required. Price excellent for overall stay... would happily use again

Enjoyed our stay
The steak and tapas were lovely. Although sadly the inside of my meatballs were raw meat! Room fairly small considering we asked for deluxe double. Staff couldn’t do any more for us. Moved us to another room as shower wasn’t hot enough. Staff friendly and hotel good just a shame about one tapas dish

Not good
Booked a delux room, if that was dekux, would hate to see standard room.. Wasnt much bigger than the double bed, the headboard was broken and kept falling down on us. The shower was tinny and loads of black mould in there. Breakfast was poor, not well layed out. Bacon was dry and like shoe leather. Eggs were not cooked and whites were still runny. Poor choice available.

Pretty grim
Stayed here prior to the Cardiff Half Marathon. Staff were friendly but overall it was a pretty grim experience. Room was basic in the extreme. The lift next door vibrated whenever it was used which meant that I was woken up every few minutes, music was playing downstairs until late, breakfast was very basic and even started an hour later than planned (seemed to be no awareness that clocks went forward). As I say the staff were friendly but this hotel really needs to step things up. It’s not great at all and I would not recommend it unfortunately

The property was fine and the staff could not have been more helpful. Expedia, however, failed to confirm the reservation with them so on arrival, after a 3 hr journey, we had no room and the hotel was full. The Duty Manager ended up giving us his room for which we were charged £130 - £69 more than we had originally been quoted by Expedia and for which I expect a refund.

arrived at the hotel, no clear signs to get into the hotel, eventually found the entrance to find a member of staff walked into the reception to find boxes everywhere looked unfinished and not open, Was checked in and given a room key went to the room the walking distance was unsuitable for part of our party so was moved rooms to a much smaller more unsuitable for his needs but closer and less steps, was noisy in the room due to poor glazing nothing hotel could of done about it as it’s a listed building, went for dinner in the on-site restaurant to find hardly anyone there more staff then customers, staff were just wandering or standing around looking lost, looked at the menu but decided to go somewhere else as the menu was way over priced for the area and went down for breakfast to find a flushed member of staff no one was around that should be

When I arrived, I was given a nice room However, the tv wasn't working No problem as they gave me another less glamorous room. In that room the main light didn't work They assured me it would be fixed the next day. Unfortunately it wasn't They then moved me to yet another room. Woke up and the headboard was dislodged from the wall. When I got back from work, reported it and they sort of fixed it. Also I had paid for breakfast. On arrival when I enquired they said breakfast was at 6 Asked if I could have a takeaway breakfast they said it was fine .... but not available on the Monday. When I asked after work on Monday, they changed breakfast to 7am and was told there was no takeaway breakfast. They said I could go to either Macdonalds or Greggs. Why should I have to pay for my morning meal elsewhere when it was included in the costs?
