Perfect for one night stay
Very small room but fine for a single night. Limited space for 2 peoples luggage and clothing. One thing, the hotel is not called the Oxford Hotel which is confusing and inconvenient. But maybe not a fault of the hotel.

The staff are the shining stars - they were efficient, helpful & just plan nice. I was in the older part of the hotel, but it had been updated. There was no elevator in that section , so if stairs are a problem best let them know in advance. The hotel is a nice walk to town centre..but it is a good 15minute walk. All in all a pleasant hotel

The check in staff were mostly good, 1 evening staff was rude and over talked his coworker then slammed his office door when i explained i understood what his coworker was saying and didnt need to have it explained again. The room was ok, but the bathroom had a smell commong from the drai and had to keep the door closed as it smelled up the room. The room also let in the smell of smoke from outside, and is not sound proof as noise from outside was easily heard. The housekeeping staff were great.

Pleasant stay
What an up to date, clean, and conveniently located hotel! The front desk staff were especially friendly and helpful, even changing our room without us asking so we could be in the same building as our companions.

Great accommodations. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to keep our bags at the office due to arriving early and wanting to explore London without out bags. I highly recommend and would come back!

3 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station, so really handy for getting around. It seems the hotel has just been recently refurbished so is immaculate with quality fixtures and fittings. Highly recommended.

Great hotel
I had a really nice stay at Oxford hotel. Stayed for 2 nights for a work trip. Newly renovated, clean and quiet, room is not too big, but was more than enough for me. Very central, just a 2 minute walk from Earls court station. Nice staff. Would absolutely go back!

Newly renovated hotel in old building, actually 3 old buildings. Room was in the basement and our view was that of a bunch of construction debris. Brand new safe in the room didn't work. Maintenance guy came any went several times over two hours before admitting he couldn't fix it. We had to carry all our valuables around london with us because of it.

Newly updated. Very small room, but lovely bathroom/shower. I couldn't find the hotel at first, because the online site called it the Oxford, but there was no sign outside that said Oxford. It must have been bought by the Merit-Kensington recently. Thankfully, one of the staff were on the steps and I asked if they knew where the Oxford was.
Sheila, 4-night trip

All good except the noise
Hotel and the room itself were really nice. Couldn’t fault it apart from the fact that the flooring is all made of wood (nothing wrong with wood) which means we could hear all the noise from outstairs. There were noise of like furniture being moved at around 10 pm and went on for a good 30 mins until we fell asleep due to tiredness. Woke up very early nex day to catch the sunrise and went back to the hotel to sleep for a bit before check out. Again, noise from upstairs. This was at 930 am. The cleaners were clearly cleaning the rooms. We just couldn’t go back to sleep anymore with all the noise.

Rip off
First of all, this is not the Oxford hotel but the Merit Kensington Hotel. The phone number does not seem to be correct as it just keeps ringing until it cuts off. The property is well maintained, probably recently refurbished as some stuff is still in the garden's areas. The staff is only doing its job not much more to be honest. Lastly, I was reedeeming my free night and it should have cost me just the breakfast money but I was charged £100 on arrival as a deposit that was supposed to be refounded to me yesterday afternoon but so far, nothing. Trying to call tgem but nobody is picking up. Funny as there were always 2 persons behind the desk as I was there.

Reasonable for the price
Let me start with saying I wasn’t expecting much given how much I paid for the room. The staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly, and my room was ready for me even I was a bit early. The room was however very small (really really small) and right next to the hallway and lift, I found it very noisy from time to time. The room had a disturbing odour when I checked in (a bit like smell from the toilet). The bed is small for me (178cm) as I couldn’t sleep with my legs straight. All in all, it was okay for what I paid for. The service is really good so I would recommend this hotel, as long as the expectations is well managed.
